NEED IS OUR WORST ENEMY.

Say it again...!

Database for US h/c films?
I think we can identify films in every section, there's no such need for a seperate one at the moment. If you don't know even from which country is from, then you can post your thread into the OTHER MOVIE-RELATED SUBJECTS section...

However I keep your idea for a future update B)

CONTEST #42: CRIES OF INNOCENSE (2002)

SPAGHETTI-HEROES: DJANGO, SARTANA, RINGO book
SPAGHETTI-HEROES: DJANGO, SARTANA, RINGO book is now out in Germany !

260 Page, english & german lang, color,
with DVD enclosed: PISTOL FOR A HUNDRED COFFINS and VENGEANCE !!

From the book:
--------------------
"RINGO – A man who was one of the most notorious gunfighters of the Old West and whose name is legendary. A name which frequently inspired countless writers and film directors to come up with new exciting stories. A gun man who didn’t always ride on the side of the law in his lifetime and who became a hero in the western movies.
DJANGO – The man with the coffin. The lone wolf who fought for survival in rough and violent times. The relentless avenging angel who rode side by side with an invisible companion – Death…
SARTANA – The traveling salesman selling death. The gentleman among the ruthless killers of the West. The elegant gambler with the deft fingers whose cards were shuffled by the devil himself....

They are the most famous heroes of that film genre which was both doomed and smiled at by the critics and drove members of the Boards of Film Censors up the wall, and which still opened new ways for the western film in Europe and made it popular again: They are the heroes of the Spaghetti Western.
Ringo, Django and Sartana finally gave a name to that taciturn stranger – and each of these names became legend!

RINGO – No man was faster with a gun.
DJANGO – He was the toughest hero in the history of the western film..
SARTANA – His game was killing – his stakes were six cartridges and a life.
They were hard, cruel, adamant. Around them was a touch of Death.

This book tells the exciting story of these heroes and their companions, „Gringo“ and „Rocco“. It takes the reader along on an exciting and entertaining trip to accompany the heroes of the Spaghetti Western on their most dangerous adventures. Numerous impressive, action packed and rare pictures enhance this book which will give the fans of the Italian western an opportunity to meet „their“ favourite screen hero again and thrill those movie lovers who couldn’t cotton up with the Spaghetti Western yet. In any case, however, this book is a unique, ostensive, and essential work of reference on the Spaghetti Western, and western film lovers and those who want to become fans of the western genre are going to enjoy it!"

Good thoughts Miltos but where is one for an arthouse forum?I'm talking about strange films like Santa Sangre, El Topo, Singapore Sling to get the idea. What do you think?

I don't really want to add an ARTHOUSE section right now. Maybe later...I don't know. In the meatime I suppose this kind of films could be reviewed into the already existed rooms...No problem!

Please understand that tons of sections will make a small forum like Cinehound to look "empty"...if you understand what I mean. This is the main reason I add new sections slowly and not all together!

I thought it was called Oceania :)

But I know what you mean, it's so close to Indonesia...When it comes to world cup in soccer they play all togetrher as Oceania/Asia group of countries.

My idea was that Ausssie films are not similar with Asian...

I guess they belong to their own section. I will leave it for later.

Of course LATIN AMERICAN, AFRICAN & ARABIC films are also completely different territories but I join them because of the few posts about them so far. I suppose I have to seperate them later. But I need them to exist as films from Egypt, Nigera etc are almost unknown -but interesting!- and they deserve their own place even now...

FORUM SECTIONS
Australia is located in Asia? :P

But I think you're right about it...They don't fix together. I'll leave it for US & Canada at the moment and I will add a seperate forum for Australia and New Zealand later.

NORTH AMERICA EXPLOITATION CINEMA then!

WELL, WELCOME ABOARD !!
If a store/site is dedicated to Bollywood or Asia then I think his place is into the BOLLYWOOD or ASIAN forums. All the others here...
