It has a release in Japan as well, i believe,

photo of delirium had a japan VHS release , not blood delirium....

and VCDs weren't big in japan , VCDs were more a hong kong format....

Unfortunately not just 'were'. Actually are big in HK! It's an abomination! So much stuff is only coming out on VCD in HK, Fortune Star is pouring out great titles... on VCD! For every 50 VCDs they put out like 10 DVDs. It can make grown men weep like little girls. :(

BEST ARGENTO FILM

Bird with the crystal plumage, Four Flies On Grey Velvet and Tenebrae.

Firstly, mine is TENEBRAE (initially also the first Argento I saw), and then... you rate FOUR FLIES as one of your faves, Linus!!! :o
Too much Glada Danskan I guess.

I really look forward to hearing your opinions on these titles, Jack!

Okay B)

Of course you are aware that ERA OF VAMPIRES is the original version of TSUI HARK'S VAMPIRE HUNTERS? Apparently it's never been released in Hong Kong and the Singapore version is the longest there is.

If you order Malay movies you pay no postage. But it seems they have "dealer centers" to other places like India etc and ship from there so if your shopping cart contains items from these countries there is postage and seems rather high.

However they ship fast, communication with them is excellent and if something is not in stock they simply refund the Paypal payment for this item. Again, for Malay movies, I don't know how service is like if you order hindi etc...

I ordered a Malay movie and they made me pay postage (or do you mean they don't charge you if you ONLY buy Malay movies?):

My invoice:

SENSASIAN is a good store and they also accept Paypal !!
By the way all prices include postage, you don't pay nothing more than prices :)

Uhh, that would have been nice, Miltos, but I'm afraid it's not quite right. :( You most certainly have to add postage.

Check their postage fee page:
http://sensasian.com/index.php/action/help/sub/ship_air

You may be thinking of eThaiCD in Thailand where they don't charge you postage.

Expensive...

Miltos, all you have to do is give him an offer. Heckle about the price. Posters that are $40-45 I usually get for 20-24 dollars! He just puts the price so high in case some sucker is willing to pay that amount.

The Rambu poster is cool because it's... Rambu! - but I don't think it's that great as such. Had it been the original poster (also used for the Greek/Danish vhs) I would've bought it.

Just discovered they've got one of the Malay horror flicks mentioned in that article Andras linked to at Sensasian: Sumpah Pontianak

http://sensasian.com/product.php/V11290

It's $9 + postage. They've got a whole section on Malay film but this is the only of the old horror films they've got. They have a few new Malaysian horror flicks tho, not least the new version of 'The Oily Man'.

Woodoo seems a popular title for a Fulci film

Yeah, and the fact that the Danes kept misspelling 'Voodoo' didn't seem to bother anybody

The Danish title of New York Ripper translates: 'Bloody Rape'

I remember one fanzine writer back in the early 90s who wrote about an embarrassing incident when he wanted to rent the film and the female shop assistant in a loud voice said: 'SO YOU WANT 'BLOODY RAPE'

Congrats with your newest 'baby', HJ.

If You put it in your sig on Dvdmaniacs, people are bound to check your dead blog out (which I did yesterday,am I showing up on your statisctics? ;) ). Btw, I'm on blogspot and there is no option of checking out either the number of visitors nor the countries , is this something that You have to pay an extra fee for?

Actually it is in my sig on Dvdmaniacs and I think, like, half of my visitors come from that forum (it could very well be 4-5 different people every day). Hmm, you checked it out yesterday? No, I can't see that but if you did it thru the Maniacs I think it'll show up as a visitor from America.

Checking out visitors isn't provided by the blog provider but by Google and it's free. You just sign up and follow the instructions:

https://www.google.com/analytics/home/login?hl=en-US

It's very handy; you can see how many people visit your blog or webpage, where they come from (both country and city), how long they stay for, regular visitors and fly-by hits, and when they last had sex. I'm not kidding.

I see someone is selling Shonteff's NIGHT, AFTER NIGHT, AFTER NIGHT on that Ebay page you linked...but if anyone is interested, i have the alternate British pre-cert release of it which sports a far better artwork cover (instead of that bland photographic cover!). You can see the sleeve art in one of photos i posted in a thread on another section here...

Also, if looking for old British video originals on Ebay you really need to use the term 'pre-cert' when doing your search. They have an entire sub-section on Ebay now for old pre-cert tapes...

Thanks for that piece of info, Wayne. A whole pre-cert sub-section you say. I don't know squad about this (hence my using the old 'pre-bbfc' term) as I don't collect anything but Danish ex-rentals when we're talking VHS (unless it's stuff you can't get on DVD). I have a few pre-bb.. pre-cert tapes (Alien Terror + Black Gestapo and a few more) but as I said I don't spend time looking for these.

RAPI FILMS
Rapi Film's site has been down for a while but I just discovered that it's up and running again and...

My god!!! There's a NEW Indonesian SUNDEL BOLONG film!!!

As I'm sure you all know ;) SUNDEL BOLONG aka Ghost With Hole was a 1981 movie by Sisworo Gautama that starred Suzzanna and Barry Prima.

I have no idea whether this is a remake or another take on the (in Indonesia well-known) legend.

Impressive, Tim!!

There's a couple that don't have English titles on the cover that I don't recognise; which are the two just below DRILLER KILLER?

Jack

far left is LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE and next to that is NIGHT TRAIN MURDERS

Thanks, Videohunter, uh, I guess I wasn't quite clear about which cover scan I was referring to Posted Image
I didn't mean the 'group photo' but the two scans underneath the big cover scan of Drille Killer (further up in the thread).

A FEW CRAPPY PHOTOS OF VIDS
The BBFC have loosened up but films still get cut in the UK and there's still stuff that's right out banned. When I lived in London in the late 80s I remember bootleggers in Camden market were selling stuff like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for 20 - and this was almost twenty years ago. 20 for crappy vhs bootlegs!! Simply because there was so much stuff cut and banned (TCM2 was right out banned).

No, no, I completely understand you, Miltos. It's called vanity!
I have this unknown blog that I have actually closed down but I still check if anybody reads it! I even check what countries the readers come from and what cities, ha ha. <_<

And people are weird. I have an average of like five readers who go there every day to check if I have new stuff even though my last post says: 'This is the last post, I will never write another one'!
I even have a friend in Berlin who checks it out almost every day.

I don't know if you should delete those members who never post. If they're there for years I guess they might as well go as they make it hard to see how many we are.

Congrats. That SKRIGET I NATTEN VHS is a slightly odd release (I've got it myself); for some weird reason it has Danish subtitles covering Norwegian ones.

Jack

that could have been due to the print denmark recieved was from a norwegian theatrical print, or master ,. that had the subs already burned into them...... :)

too bad i can't give a better description as my VCR ferociously ate the tape last night !   :(

Oh no! Can't you repair it?

The subs: Using cinema prints with burnt in subs (in other languages than Danish) for Danish vhs releases was a rare occurrence. I haven't watched this since 2000 (when I reviewed it for my zine) and as far as I remember the Norwegian subs were video subs, not cinema subs.

My pleasure. And actually I received my copy a couple of days ago as well and I look forward to seeing it. Or rather re-seeing it, this time uncut! :)

- And D&T enclosed a little pack of lollies! How nice. :D
