If we were in ROME your asking for more power could be very dangerous for you...or for me anyway

W IS WAR
Bummer! :(

I wonder if the American VHS is uncut.

TATAK PINOY STORE
Satan og helvede!!! I'm trying to correct the headline (which oughtta be in capitols) but I don't seem to be able to. I'm the co-mod of this section and I don't have enough power to even correct the headline. Pffft! Some power!! <_<

TATAK PINOY STORE
I've located an eBay store that sells Filipino films on VCD. Obviously the person behind it is an expat as it's located in Hong Kong, not the Philippines. Unfortunately this means (I assume that's the reason anyway) that the prices are a bit on the expensive side, around 8-9 US$, which is too steep for an unsubtitled VCD - and this is before you ad postage!

Apart from Filipino films they also have a good deal of HK flicks, horror, Cat III, ordinary films, etc. (and actually the HK DVDs are much cheaper).

Oh, and they have the Fil'o versions of Maxim and FHM!! ;)

Here it be:

JORIAL TRADING (Philipinnes)
Miltos, this store isn't there anymore. Do you know if they just moved or have closed down?

CINEHOUND'S WANTS
I have nothing for you to swap, however, I do have some links to nifty stores that I use myself and one of them is Cinemashops:

This is where I buy most of my Indonesian VCDs. The store is located in Malaysia. They have films from other Asian countries too but I'll recommend that you buy those from other places as they don't have subtitles. The Indo flicks don't have subs either but as you know many of these films don't exist with Eng. dub/subs, so this is thee best place to get them from. They are VERY cheap. The only bad thing is that they only ship with Fed Ex which means you have to pay customs fee if you live in a country within the EU. However, they mention on their homepage that they can down-write the value but unfortunately they forget it sometimes!

And the Greek VHS of CLASH OF THE WARLORDS (but are you sure is a sequel to W?)

No, I'm not sure about that at all. I also frequent another forum (altho it's no way near as nice at Cinehound, of course!) and we have a thread on Filipino films and someone just mentioned it here:

http://www.dvdmaniacs.net/forums/showthrea...72&page=4&pp=15
(go halfway down)

There's also some other, alternative video scans of the two movies.

Yep, nice blog my friend, I guess "I looked the other way when you so bluntly announced it a little while back" too :D  :D  :D

I tried your "post in greek"...but it was all greek to me :P

Thank you, Miltos. I guess I'll just be a forumite (is that even a word?) instead of a blogger. Too much work.

Yeah, well, as one character puts it in Twin Peaks: 'We are all Greek'
(actually he said 'Icelanders' but what the hell).

Nice scan!

Here's my own Japanese VHS:

Jack: Thanks for the nice words pal! But how did I never notice that you had your own blog? It's pretty cool, you should keep up with it. Mine is not updated nearly enough but still gets fairly good regular daily views. But since you aren't writing a blog anymore, I entirely expect you to start submitting reviews to Worldweird. I need your expertise and wit my friend!

Linn: I hadn't heard that MM were mulling this one over. You've heard conclusively then that they at one time were doing just that? A MM S.E. of this gem would be most welcome!

Well, buddy, I guess you looked the other way when I so bluntly announced it a little while back, LOL.
'Expertise and wit'? Huh? Aye? Me?
Thanks, Jared. I'll be happy to do something for Worldweird soon, maybe I'll do a piece on... no, I'll tell you later

And although your last comment is for Linn I'm sure he would say; 'Hell yes, MM shouldda get dis out on a spiffy double disc with da sequel pronto'!!! :D

THE BOXER'S OMEN
My pleasure.

And if you wanna read more on Indo flicks I've got a thread here:

Unfortunately it seems Rapi Films have closed their web site.

Jack

THE BOXER'S OMEN
Yeah welcome ed209vscain (hmm, how on earth do you pronounce that? :D ).

I have BOXER'S OMEN and it is indeed one of the most enjoyable dark HK flicks!!! I have the HK VCD which has the original Cantonese audio track. And since it's a Celestial VCD the picture quality is quite good (not quite DVD level but still).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
