It's out of print already!!! Surely not.

btw - I note there's an article about La Muerte Incierta. Does this mean someone's actually seen this film? That it still exists?? We spent ages trying to track this down, rights holder and all. No-one seemed to know anything about it.

Yes, one exists ULtrarare Copy of LA MUERTE INCIERTA...

And do you have this copy ?

Yes, but, I cannot copy it , :( :(

I watched the trailer and I'm interested in what ever info you have. Were did you get a copy from and how come you can't copy it? Will it be released at some stage? What do you know?

Too bad you couldn't afford more copies of the zine.

:hello!:

Es muy bueno Doktor Satan... pero soy el Diablo!!

Uhh, that's how it goes when you learn your Spanish from old Mexican horror movies.

Very cool, I'm gonna watch that!

Are you planning to release more issues or is it a one off?

EDIT: Have watched it now. Very cool!
But I still wonder why you only printed so few issues. I mean it seems like you guys put a lot of work into making the zine and making it look awesome. REPRINT IT!! (so I can get a copy. LOL).

Thanks.

My wife got me Veerana/Purani Haveli as a late x-mas present this week. I haven't had the chance to watch either one yet because I have been exploring more Turkish cinema lately. Hope they are as fun as Bandh Darwaza/Purana Mandir were.

Nice present indeed, you'll enjoy

I watched Purani Havelli recently and definitely liked it. My only complaint is the song and dance numbers. I know it is a part of their culture, but it sort of kills the mood for me when watching horror, and all of a sudden there is a song and dance routine. Other than that, I really like the couple Indian horror stuff.

What I do is I usually keep in mind they are "kitchy" films and if you do that the dance numbers fit in perfectly. If I watched these films as "straight" horror films they simply wouldn't work.

Great post, Tom!!!

And an awesome collection.

So which are your favourites of his films, and are there some you really dislike?

Some years ago Nils Markvardsen (Kinski) gave me a composite fan edit of THE BIG GUNDOWN: Has this movie been fully restored officially?

THREE SUPERMEN AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES

I used to have this dutch video of "three superboys in the snow"  tarik arkan is in it, also directed by a turk........is this a rip off of a rip off? or is the title just wrong translated?

Posted Image

No, the title isn't wrongly translated and it's not a rip off of a rip off. The film is part of the SUPERGUYS/-BOYS series which is a different series to the FANTASTIC SUPERMEN series.

And it's not BAS BELASY (aka Flying Superboy) as Turktrash suggests but his second suggestion is right: BABANIN EVLATLARI aka Mettetemi in Galera. The drunk monkeys at IMDb have listed the film twice, once under the Turkish title and a better listing under the Italian title:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074302/

On pre-cert:
http://www.pre-cert.co.uk/display.php?vId=UK02409

Here's a list of the SUPERGUYS films (thanks to Henrik Larsen):

There are three official SUPERGUYS films + two unofficial entries. The first unofficial film precedes the series (and do notice that via the German title the film is actually related to the series on the German market! "Teufelskerle" = Superguys)

1. ZWEI TEUFELSKERLE AUF DEM WEG ZUR GRÜNEN HÖLLE (1974). Aka AMAZONS FOR TWO ADVENTURERS
-No Turkish involvement but Ernst Hofbauer who co-directed the film also co-directed the three official films. And "Robert Widmark" and Wolf Goldan play almost the same characters as they do in the first Superguys film. Widmark is in ALL the films so there's a connection.

2. ZWEI TEUFELSKERLE AUF DEM WEG INS KLOSTER (1975). Aka THE THREE SUPERGUYS
-German-Turkish production. Hofbauer is co-director and Widmark & Goldan play the main-characters.

3. THE FLYING SUPERBOY (1975) aka BAS BELASI
-Turkish production. Widmark plays the same kind of character again.

4. ZWEI TEUFELSKERLE AUF DEM WEG NACH ISTANBUL (1976). Aka THE THREE SUPERGUYS STRIKE AGAIN
-Cuneyt Arkin is in this one.

5. DREI TEUFELSKERLE MACHEN ALLES NIEDER (1977). Aka THREE SUPERGUYS IN THE SNOW

- Arkin was also in one of the THREE FANTASTIC SUPERMEN films (SUPERMENLER/3 SUPERMEN AGAINST GODFATHER) but other than that there's no connection between the two series.

never heard of this. Sounds like a must see.

btw - you say that having Tucker is "good enough". I guess you didn't hear/read about her involvement with the US Tea Party movement of right wing nutters?

No, I hadn't seen that. Hmm, she does actually look younger than in the film.

I already own Yes,madam! so no worries there. ;)
I've always loved the fight on the airplane in Royal Warriors.

I remember watching ROYAL WARRIORS on a German satellite channel and when you see the dead guy's head sticking out of the plane... you don't see it! They cut out the frozen head of the German version, haha. The good thing about it was it was lbx whereas my Danish vhs was fullscreen. :(

That's tragic. My Spanish is a little rusty, does it mention the cause of death?

Not in the end mate. Was very seriously considering it though and if i had received some interest back then i probably would have done it if the offers were good enough!

Thankfully though things turned out well and i didn't need to part with it all. Weird thing was...i never had a single person show interest until a long while after! =D

Good to know you were able to keep it. B)

ROYAL WARRIORS is awesome! And if you haven't got YES, MADAM! you need that one too! In the dubbed vhs versions they were released as IN THE LINE OF DUTY 1 and 2.

SS Experiment (Love) Camp for sale/trade
I'm pretty sure I have a Dutch Bloodsucking Freaks. Would you be interested for a trad with SS Ex.?

What country are you from?
War torn Philippines circa 1987. B)

Indian alternate languages versions
Pretty interesting! I've never come across this in the Indian films I've seen (but then again most of them are "regular" horror movies).

Can someone please suggest titles in the Krasue genre

Check the thread that there's a link to in post #2, Sweeney Todd provided a whole list of these films. He's studied them for a long time.

Some of them turn up on VCD outta Thailand.
