if there was ever a Japan vhs release as I feel this will be the best quality release?.

Yes, there's a Japanese VHS. I've seen it one time and one time only - and unfortunately I lost out on it. :(

Thanks for the info on the cuts.

Oh, and as I've mentioned earlier; it's being released on reg. 1 DVD later this year with They Call Her Cleopatra Wong.

What to do in case of "lost" payment?
Did you mention to him that the money was missing or did you just ask him abut the tape? You probably ought to have mentioned the missing money right away and got his immediate response to that. Now it might seem a little late and if he DID put the money in the envelope he might be thinking you're trying to get the same payment again.

But I agree, it's the damndest situation!

Yeah, that's a good idea. It's actually just one guy and he seems to be nice enough so maybe he'd be willing do make more copies privately.

Yeah, maybe I'll make a list long enough for him to bother:) How much were they / piece?

I just checked an old invoice and it said 6.75 per film. Early on the postage was for free but later you had to pay an additional fee for postage outside of the UK but I can't remember if the 6.75 is incl. postage or not.

Work in progress!!
But will those ones actually hold the weight of a whole shelf of video tapes? My fear is always they're gonna come crashing down after 3 yrs (and land on me in my sleep :o )

That brings many good ol memories to the 90's.

You don't go there anymore? It's still around:

I've only ordered from them via mailorder though. :ph43r:

Sorry mate, you're too late!! He closed down the store last month.

The site is staying up so people can use the film info. And yes those where very good bootlegs, cheap prices, very fast shipment (one time I ordered a film and two hours later I got a reply that the DVDr was in the mail!!), and awesome covers. Too bad.

Welcome to Cinehound, Aurel. I'm sure most people here have heard of Splatting Image. B)

Jungle Commandos on VHS
It seems the video labels can't make up their minds about what this film is about. I have seen the Dutch, Aussie, and Japanese cover as well and they are all very different!

I've just discovered the Greek release of the Filipino film PACIFIC CONNECTION on one of Bill's auctions. Hmmm, haven't I seen that cover somewhere before??? Hmmmm...

Killer Elephants
Thanks Romps and Lurker. Wauw, that French cover looks awesome! And that Finnish one... doesn't.

Do any of you know if the film is out on Japanese VHS? What's the formats, all FS or any in lbx?

Killer Elephants
Awesome, Alvin!!

Killer Elephants
Thanks for the scan!

It MUST be a crazy film!! Fred Anderson said he'd buy the rights for it and put it out on a proper DVD if he could find out who owns the film!

Killer Elephants
Fred Anderson posted a review of a film that seems to fit the world-weird mold if any ever did: the Thai film KILLER ELEPHANTS from 1976!!

His review is here:
http://ninjadixon.blogspot.com/2009/08/kil...hants-1976.html

The version he watched is a downloaded copy. Do any of you know where this was released on VHS? There are a couple budget DVDs in the US but apparently they're of a less than good pic quality. A VHS may very well be of better quality (have any of you got it?).
