Hey, and I'm the happy owner of FIRST VAMPIRE OF CHINA now.  ;)
I was surprised no one else made a bid as I've been outbid on that title before.  :D

Hey Jack -- Eventually, I might have to get the UK discs (I was unaware that these films had releases outside of Japan)... as I am sure the JAP DVD does not have English subtitles.

And yea, that mini-theater club might be cool to check out someday. Although the admission is $25 a head, and it only seats 21 people. You have to make reservations I guess. But a cool way to meet directors, producers, and actors one on one.

And yes... congrats on FIRST VAMPIRE OF CHINA. Everyone else must have been asleep when that one ended. Hahaha! BTW, this VHS gem is on it's way to ya now!

Talk to ya soon.

DOLL war retitled LEGACY OF DRACULA in the UK. The three films are out as single releases but there's also a box:

If you want them be quick, they're going out of print. :ph43r:

THE "GEEKY VIDEO QUESTION" THREAD
Hey!!! Very good, thanks a bunch!!! :D

I had already found out the title of the film (in fact I already had it in my collection) but needless to say I can't read the text.

Horror films in summer time to cool your knuckles!

The film was part of a trilogy and they're all out on UK DVD. Those DVDs look pretty good in my book (letterboxed) but I'm told the Japanese DVDs have better picture (but obviously sans the subs).

Yeah, I'd sure love to go to that bar myself!! B)

According to IMDB Santiago teamed up with Jim Wynorski for a movie called Road Raiders, right before his death. Talk about a must-see...

My final thought on Naked Fist: Not without it's moments, but only one topless fighting scene?

From what I know they didn't team up as such; Wynorski was asked to finish the film when Santiago became too ill to do the rest. And about the lack of nudity; I'd say that's not really a big surprise at all. You never see a lot of nudity in Filipino action films. I would say if you get to see one nude scene you're actually lucky. ;)

With the compliments of kingofB. Gonna check out Naked Fist now. If the movie lives up to his trailer, this might be the best movie ever produced in the history of cinema. Fingers crossed ;)

It really ought to be good!!! It's directed by Cirio Santiago and it was the second time he made the film!!

The first time he called it T.N.T. JACKSON and then he thought the story was so good he remade it as FIRE CRACKER (Naked Fist is a re-title) and believe it or not but he remade the damn film AGAIN as ANGEL FIST!!! I haven't watched the last one but both T.N.T. and FIRE CRACKER are very entertaining. B)

ZOMBI 3
Why is he calling it "Zombi 2"? I know the Japanese title has a 2 in the title but was it ever released with the (Italian) title "Zombi 2"??? Zombie Flesh Eaters is aka Zombi 2.

CONTEST #61: GEN (DVD)
I won't take part as I already have GEN and might I just point out this film probably has if not thee nastiest then at least one of the nastiest rape scenes I've seen in any movie, Turkish or not. On a whole it's a pretty good film. Ayman reviewed it in the Turkish section a couple years back:

Unbelievable. The jungle is full of surprises :D

You can say that again!!!

I'll see if I can get a proper (i.e. quick!!!) scanner so I can unload some of my covers on you guys as well. My old scanner - which isn't compatible with my new computer - takes fucking 3 hours to scan just one cover!! (alright I'm exaggerating but still!) :o "oops!:

Michael Jackson is dead!

Jun 26 2009, 02:13 AM
Jack, you know what? I know grown men shouldn't cry but for the past few hours I have been crying. Really liked his music.

I fully understand. Back in the mid 80s the underground band Metallica was my all time favourite band and a friend and I had bought tickets to see them in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, just hours before the gig, a lady in a T-shirt shop said: "Oh, haven't you heard they've had an accident and one of them is dead". It was completely insane! My favourite band! So yeah, I fully understand you. I remember buying all the newspapers. I think I still got them somewhere.

Btw, Anthrax were to play at the same gig and we still went to the venue thinking (in our naive young minds) "hey, maybe Anthrax are still gonna play"
