EDIT:  I just checked the members' list and... eh..., it doesn't seem like we even have a member called falcon.v!

Well, err..., in fact we do, but the super-lazy admin didn't added him on the list on time "oops!:

Jap. tapes!!!
Jesus fucken christ! Quite a few of us in Northern Europe + UK still couldn't give a fuck about political correctness but obviously other people do. Argh! I'm fully aware "Jap" is an old derogatory term for Japanese people but "Jap." ("Jap" followed by a full stop) is just an abbreviation of "Japanese". So when Unuuk (who lives in the English speaking world) wrote "Jap" in the headline I thought I'd better change it to the politically correct "Jap." in order not to offend our Japanese member (singular, we only have one, LOL). So far so good. Then today I used the abbreviation over on Dvdmaniacs... and someone corrects me for being un-pc!!!

The Official Movie Viewing Log
I can't remember if it was you Peter or Teade who said they'd seen the South African war/horror movie THE STICK but I've just watched it and I must agree it's very good! Not one boring moment!

It's on Dutch and German VHS as PLATOON WARRIOR.

Sweeney Todd, if you haven't already then you ought to check out Jesus Manuel's site "Golden Ninja Warrior Chronicles" where he writes a lot about the HK cut & paste films. It doesn't hold answers to all questions (after all he's not an old man on a mountain) but it's a good place to start.

Thank you for the link, Jack. It's an interesting site - but the main problem for me is that I have not the slightiest consideration or respect for these "two-in-one" movies at all. For me - please take it as just a personal opinion - their true place is a garbage can. The ONLY thing I'm interested for is the original films, as they were made. When I find a two-in-one, if the cannibalized segments seem interesting I try to find the original source (like, in the case of "Crocodile Fury", "Kraithong 2").
So, all the blabla and interviewes of people like Thomas Tang, Godfrey Ho, etc (but you could add Jerry Warren, Al Adamson, and even Roger Corman sometimes) is totally uninteresting, excepted of course when they are related to their "real" movies, not their pitiful "patchworks". In a normal society, their acts would be considered as reprehensible and their place in some jail.
In the case of Samuel M. Sherman, I'm not encline to forgive how he destroyed (with his acolyte, Al Adamson) the original version of the Filipino movie, "Tagani", for their abomination, "Horror of the Blood Monsters". This is totally unforgivable.

I totally agree with you! But his site can STILL be useful as he knows a lot about these films and can be helpful in finding the original versions.

And needless to say, I would LOVE to see the original Filipino film that was used for "Horror of the Blood Monsters"!!

Also, their shipping is totaly insane 29$ for one tape???? come on.

Actually it's even $31 to where I am! But it's only if you choose to get it sent by USPS Priority Mail International. You can chose USPS First Class Mail International and it's just under $14 (which is still a lot).
