I've got a nice quality copy of BLOODY PIT OF HORROR from Australian tv. I believe it is uncut. Quality of the print is very nice - colourful and clear - and it is in Italian with subtitles (as broadcast)...how cool are the Aussies!

Yeah, it was on SBS which is the ethnic channel. There are many Italians in OZ. I have the same version.

Best worst movies ?
FOR YU'R HEIGHT ONLY and THE IMPOSSIBLE KID are pretty cool. I'm not sure I'd agree those two particular films are bad but that's just me. :ph43r:

Have you seen TURKISH STAR TREK? It's pretty good fun. They spliced the plots from two episodes of the original series and made it into a film.

Zagor dvdr review
Did Bill want to release this ZAGOR film as well? He had planned to release ZAGOR KARA BELA and ZAGOR KARAKORSANIN HAZINELERI, and both of those have been release on DVD from another label now. They're subbed in English.

It finally turned up a couple of years ago via a cut 35mm print that was put up for sale (it's believe it's Toby Russell that owned it).

I see Toby occasionally and he said that's nonsense.

LOL. Thanks for clearing that up. I got that piece of (faulty) info from Kung Fu Cinema forum. I guess someone there made speculations sound like facts!

I wonder where the print came from then. When I bought some films from Toby via eBay I sent him a PM and asked about THE BIG BOSS PART 2 but... he avoided the question. If you're on good terms with him maybe you could sneak in the question at some stage. ;) Does he have that print? Doesn't he? Does he know someone who has it? Who?

That film is becoming an obsession!! "oops!:

The Big Boss - Uncut
Just because it's a well known film doesn't guarantee an uncut release. THE DEVILS is another good example of a film that's never been released uncut. There are threads about THE BIG BOSS on kung fu film boards and they are all a MILE long. Another aspect of the film that was missing is the original English dub. It was the original HK English dub and it was used when the film played in the territories in the Middle East but when the Americans got the film they didn't like the dub and made their own. The original dub then disappeared and fans have been talking about it for years and years. It finally turned up a couple of years ago via a cut 35mm print that was put up for sale (it's believe it's Toby Russell that owned it).

And don't get me started on BIG BOSS PART 2 (the Lo Lieh film)!!!

The Big Boss - Uncut
There are different edits, sure, but the "saw in head" scene is in none of them. Many collectors believe it doesn't even exist. There are stills of the scene but they claim maybe it was never actually FILMED.

The Big Boss - Uncut
Good luck on finding a version that has the MYTHICAL "Saw in head" scene. It's every kung fu collectors wet dream. :ph43r:

Awesome!!

The beginning of the international, English dubbed print of YES, MADAM! (released as IN THE LINE OF DUTY 2) there is a different intro than in the HK print. The beginning is a bunch of police cars arriving at a house and policemen entering the house and arresting some people (in the HK print we see Michelle Khan slapping a book on some poor guy's favourite member). I've read that the different scene in the international edit is actually taken from WHERE'S OFFICER TUBA - but I've never watched the film. :ph43r:

French-language version of FRANKENSTEIN found!
Hmmmm...

The dvd came out in 2010. Seems odd we wouldn't have heard about it before. And on Amazon UK the comments from the customers refer to it as the "classic" films. I think you're pulling our leg here.

You can post as many as you want, Cemetery man. This thread is open for everyone. It's been a while since Diabolik posted here anyway. And yeah, too bad with all the missing covers. I should go thru them and clean it all up (if I could be bothered. LOLZ). EDIT: I just did exactly that!

And those tapes are pretty cool!
