Wayne, I discovered that bootlegger sometime last year and asked about him on Dvdmaniacs. You can check the replies here:

Ocean Shores
By the way, I see that some cover scans are now gone from the thread cos they were deleted for whatever reasons. Could you guys please use scans that are uploaded to places where they won't disappear after a few months. Thanks. Nobody wants long threads full of dead pix (and I'll chuck them out eventually). :ph43r:

some of my OS collection VHS only should i post the OS LDs in here or the LD section?

This is the Asian section and since this thread is about trying to create complete lists of all Ocean Shores releases I would recommend that you post the titles here. At least if you've got titles that are not already on the list, or that we haven't seen cover scans of.

Cteve, I'm trying to use that page you linked to and I've found a cool poster for one of the films but I don't seem to be able to blow it up to a bigger size. Every time I click it it just says I haven't installed some program. I installed their program but I still can't blow up the poster. Do you know how to?

Btw, check out the poster (intact with images from The Evil Dead :D ):

Go here and make a search for "The Headless Murderess":

Found it somewhere else:

Thanks, Matt!! That is one cool poster. I'd love to have it (regardless of whether the film is great or crap).

I have sanfranciscobayvideos real name & address if anyone needs it!

Thanks. I don't know about the other guys but I don't need it anymore. It's a pity I didn't get my tapes but I got my money refunded by PayPal so that's alright. Do you know what happened to/with him?

Geten, what's the top film? :ph43r:

Three Fantastic Supermen - Zodiac Video *SOLD*
Wauw. This is the very first film I remember watching in my life! My mum had signed me up for my school's film club and this was the first film they showed. I was 7 yrs old. I wrote about it in Henrik Larsen's Obskuriøst magazine (#2).

Hmm, but the cover doesn't give away which film it is, does it now.

i am guessing a DVD Recorder would create hassle from outsiders begging for copies (don't own a DVD Recorder = can't do copies = so don't pester me! lol)

But even a VHS collector who doesn't wish to make dvdr copies for other people would benefit from having a dvd recorder. For instance I have some tapes that I don't wanna play over and over again in order not to wear them down so I make a dvdr for myself (at least with films I know I wanna watch repeatedly).

My Indonesian Movie Collection
Awesome, Peter! I didn't know Samson dan delilah had been dubbed into another language. Do you know if there is an English or German version???

Hong Kong LD worshiping
Subs and org. language! Awesome!

I would even prefer your LD to the DVD as it contains that Rothrock track!

New Room possible?

You might want to split the trade-section into two sections: Sale and buy.
Occasionally I stumble upon new topics thinking, wow, he's selling that tape! But when I take a closer look, it turns out somebody wants to buy stuff.

If nothing else people: At least, put "wanted" in the headline if you are buying stuff.

I'll stop babbling now.

Thinking again about it I really find it a great idea. In fact "Trades" room seems too big with many updates and sometimes you cannot recognize the "Wanted" posts easily so I think seriously to seperate sales & wants in two rooms soon :D

Oh nooooo!!!!

Please don't. Give Member-X a finger and he's gonna take the whole arm as we say here. Now he's gonna nag about all kinds of crazy new things.

I still think this thread goes away from Kenneth thought B)

You're right. The topic is whether WE would feel all right with selling dvd-r copies. Not whether it's okay to buy from bootleggers such as Trash Palace or VSoM. Stay on topic, muthers!! Or I will delete this thread!!

If you go to my old house you'll find tons of VHS copies that I bought from Video Search of Miami. Anyone here remembers them?

They're still around. Thomas Weisser's old place.

Hong Kong LD worshiping
:( :( :( Why is that sitting on YOUR shelf and not MINE. Not fair. :(

 There's still a few Cynthia Rothrock films I need to get and that's one of them.

I just checked the dvd's listed on HKFlix but obviously none of them contain the commentary track.

The way I read it he's not talking abut other dealers. He's asking if WE (i.e. the members here) would sell dvd-r copies of films (sell as in sell for money, not swapping).

It seems that some out there will happily bootleg ANYTHING and EVERYTHING if it suits their needs and satisfies their desires, whether it affects the small labels or not.

You can say that again! The other day I discovered a download site where they were advertising the new CLEOPATRA WONG/ONE-ARMED EXECUTIONER dvd from Dark Sky and when I mentioned it on Dvdmaniacs the guy from Dark Sky said something along the lines of "But I haven't even finished working on it". Yeah, some "fans" just don't give a shit.

What do you mean by "fandub/sub" ?

He means if you have a dvd in a weird language that doesn't have English subs and you make your own subtitles in English (on a new dvd-r) so that fans can enjoy the film. Some fans, mostly kung fu film fans, also take HK dvds and ad old English dubs from video tapes.

The little program to install on KMDB to view the posters and photos
is totally f-up. I tried many times with a Korean Windows etc and it
doesn't work. :( If I find that poster somewhere else I'll post it here
for you.

Cool, thanks Cteve! I must have tried 10 times to install and use that program!
