I'm glad I don't have to wait for these crappy dvd's to be released!
I got these VHS in my collection fortunately.

That's a nice KILLING OF SATAN cover there!
(btw, you wouldn't have had to wait for it cos it was released on dvd many months ago ;) )

Though I consider myself a hardcore VHS-fundamentalist I had a perfectly mint "One Armed Executioner" yesterday.
Put it in my VCR an ff'd it because it hadn't been played in ages...
It ff'd, ff'd and ff'd endlessly cause the tape let loose from the reel.
So I couldn't rww and thus havent seen the movie

When I buy a rare ex-rental I always make a dvd-r copy the very first time I play the tape, and then never watch the tape again but only the dvd-r (of course you're fucked if the vcr fucks up the tape the first time! ).

And yes, it does sound like a problem you should be able to fix.

Yes this DVD was a disappointment, I'd trade it in a second for an original of that Dutch tape. At $20 it's just an elaborate bootleg. Interesting movies deserve interesting DVD releases, this one didn't do much for me and is only holding shelf space until some sucker decides to dump their nice tape.

Oh yes, one of my favourite films of all-time! Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT5orQRldNM
Hmm, I might sell the Dutch tape in perfect condition. As mentioned, the dvd is crap.

The dvd sure as hell isn't a remastered delux release with tons of extras that's true - but it isn't crap either. The picutre quality is okay and on par with a video tape. This film has never been released on dvd before, and it's very difficult to find the old video releases, so it's nice that people can finally watch this awesome trash/horror flick at a cheap price.

Will you be selling your tape on eBay (do you have more than the one tape?)?

Hey, I just noticed the trailer was uploaded by this forum's Petcor80! Kewl!!

Miltos, I know you've had both the Dutch and the American vhs of KILLING OF SATAN for sale at some stage. Do you remember if they are of equally good quality picture wise (or does anybody else know about this?). I expect they're both uncut?

I had twice the Dutch release but I sold them both as they were "new releases" and not ex-rentals. Quality was fair I'm afraid. I watched the movie years ago, not sure if it was uncut or not - in fact I'm nort sure about anything anymore B)

I also have the US release (big cardboard box intact) but I haven't watched it yet and I don't sell it. I will try to check it soon. It's available on ebay for $40 by a good seller if you like to get it...

I own the Dutch one on Empire. If you could tell the exact running time of the uncut print I could check it out.
