Cool! Bdc, if you need books on HK cinema I'll recommend that you get hold of the "Hong Kong Filmography, 1977 - 1997". It's without a doubt the most thorough book on HK films there is! I bought it because of Stephen Gladwin's recommendation here: (check pictures) http://z9.invisionfree.com/THE_CINEHOUND_F...post&p=11167281 And I use it all the time. I got the cheaper paperback edition from Amazon UK. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hong-Kong-Filmogra...29142142&sr=8-1 |

Thanks for the recs, I'll check them! I'm really a big fan of the style, saw quite a bit of them since I posted here. Long Arm of the Law, The Longest Nite, Full Alert and Tiger Cage are among my faves. I was surprised by the rare The Most Wanted too. |

I recently bought a couple of City Connection dvd-r's from Buyoyo. Started watching The Complicated Raping Case and there's something weird, either a cut or bad authoring as the first rape (on the table with the rich guy watching) is completely missing? Does anyone have the City Connection dvd and is this normal? I'm talking about this (scene from 1:54 onwards) http://www.worldcinema2.net/2011/05/watch-...g-case_896.html Btw noticed that this video has no sound for part of the scene,is that normal? So many questions... ![]() Thanks for reading. |
