I traded this tape years ago with a guy from Berlin... Got it very, very cheap so not too bothered by uneven trade. I honestly cannot remember what i traded it for with J. Petterson...

According to Jesus it was the common Mystère tape on the Prisma label!

But of course it was very hard to keep track of other countrys raritys in the pre-internet forum days. I know i've done my share of -in hindsight- really bad trades with rare foreign tapes in my early trading days. And some really sweet ones too. It all tends to equal out in the end.

the value of a tape also depends on how much you want it and how difficult a tape is to get for you. foreign tapes are always harder to get, so I've put some really wanted/valuable tapes from my country against more common/less wanted foreign tapes because for me that was an equal trade.
it all equals out indeed, and local tapes can be found cheap most of the time anyway because the regular movie watching world holds the vhs in not so high regard to say the least...

I only paid 5 Deutschmarks for it and it wasn't a piece for my collection so I guess I did not care that much... :P

I know Emil S. had the "regular" black/white one and sold it at a bargain price (well at that time...) on Tradera to some strange guy who otherwise only had bought old coins...
I guess he got that one from Danne D. so it´s probably the same one as Jesus once had.

If you look closely you might see it in the painting of the last supper. The Esselte Code as it's known for the initiated. :D
My sales/trade thread:

yep, to reveal the meaning you have to figure out the story behind all the icons on the Esselte spines read in the correct order.
