The First tape is an Trix (Serien 1-26), Second is an Walthers Video (Silver) the company that took more or less over Cinehollywood in Sweden and Finland! Esselte Video released a lot of titles between the earliest days to the end of the VHS era, an small label map would more of less look like this: 1. Black (was the earliest releases) 2. Silver 3. White 4. Yellow 6. CIC Video I have a few Yellow Esselte Videos for sale at the moment on ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=esselte+video Thriller - En Grym film is more or less on the first place on the list of the rarest of the rare Swedish tapes and it also cut to pieces! The Danish Black Esselte was also heavily cut! One was also sold for 6000-7000 SEK on tradera a month ago! According to some Swedish collectors, the rare or the rarest list looks like this: 1. Thriller (Esselte) 2. Bårhusassistenten (Abefko) 3. Dödskommendanten (Filmex) 4. Ögat i Labyrinten (Filmex) and then there is also many titles, which there is only one known ex off: Terror (Cinehollywood) the rest of the Abefko tapes etc... |

I was very please when I opened up the boxes. I'm not sure if the Videoring releases are from UK, because I haven't checked them yet. I have one other Videoring release (Alpha Incident) and this tape has Norwegian subtitles. So they were distributed here with added subtitles. |

The green Videoring release is either a UK release or a Scandinavian release. They were distributed here with a added subtitles. But I haven't checked the tape, so I don't know if there are subtitles. Yes, that Zorro tape is beautiful. I think I only have one of it, therefore it will stay in my collection. If I should find another one, I will let you know |

Those tapes are keepers for sure. It can be that I have doubles of some of them, but sadly not the ones you were asking about. Sorry

Before the Black ones there was black/white (also with icons on the spine) and even before that was the square box black/white (like that Thriller tape). These early tapes are very rare because Esselte destroyed most of them when the newer ones were released... Esselte was probably the biggest videolabel over here in the 80s/90s, releaseing loads and loads of Hollywood-films. Also they were biggest manufaturer of stationary, office supplies, school books.... |

Interestingly all of these have more than one known existing copy, so rather than the "rarest" i´d say the most desiareble. |

Yes, Esselte-Arnold, the coolest ones! They´re like a special set, of i think 10-12(can´t remember), and i believe released between the black/white & black editions, not sure though. Shamefull of me to forget them... and internationally, i´d say that the most sought after swedish tape is that Lady Frankenstein, at least it used to be. Some Video trade releases are very rare, a couple giallos, but mostly it´s typical 80s Hollywood stuff, just like the Yellow ones.... On Black Essellte three spaghettis (as far as i know) : Gräv din grav, Sabata kommer (also re-released on yellow with different sleeve) - Dig Your Grave Friend... Sabata's Coming Storsmockan i vilda västern (also several other releases) - Rita the kid Hämndens colt - reverend colt on black/white Esselte: Grym revansch - Sonny & Jed |
