fellas , if u think about it it's pretty simple, VTI aquired the rights to distribute this title , and the only surviving source material made available to them ,already had the arabic subs from a theatrical print or master tape, and the same circumstance occured with the press material/artwork ect....and due to VTI bein a low budget company they didn't bother printing thier own artwork probably to save money and just stamp printed the UK distributor address on the front cover template to show thier aquired rights.........

Well, if it's that simple :o

We almost had a political issue here about Arabs in the Uk :) just kidding!

It was really about money back then. Ofcourse it still is but; man <_< ....well ......that's what is keeping us occupied and of the streets!

Got myself a tape from Video Dynamic settled in Adliya, Bahrain with English language and Japanese subs!

video dynamic tapes r bootlegs

Yes, bootlegs, but still very nice. They were made in Sweden by a collector, recorded by his Japanese laserdiscs! That's why the Japanese subtitles.

I have ZOMBI 3 on vhs. The print is from the Japanese version, on the back it says "Bahrain". I always figured that this was not made in Bahrain but somewhere else and my bet was that it was a bootleg from Sweden (the company that made the cassette had a Swedish phone number). Is this the same guy?? Do you know?? The company was also behind another Fulci title (I forget which one).

Now I remember, it was DEMONIA I also saw! How did you find out it was someone in Sweden, did/do you know him? (was it Linus or Lova?  ).

I imported many of them a long time ago, the date they were released. I did swaps with this guy, he told me they were Bahrain imports. Well, they looked originals but when I saw the Japanese subtitles and comparing them with my jpn laserdiscs i saw they were alike. Also the English text on covers was obviously written by a collector and not by some Bahrain company.

I sold/swap them abroad and most people were satisfied by them, quality was great (LD quality, before the DVDs!), uncut ws versions, nice covers...Most people didn't know anything about the LDs to suspect. But they are bootlegs alright...
