I went back to the Cult Videotheek and was surprised at how little was actually gone yet, maybe the amount of cult movie collectors out there cannot be underestimated... anyway, took home another 20 beauties (at even more reduced prices too):![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Awesome stuff, Peter! Love the covers for those Rage videos! I never got them back in the day. The were released by Thomas Eikrem in Denmark/Norway who did a long lasting fanzine called RAGE (it's still being published but now it's an expensive book version and he's in the UK). http://www.filmrage.co.uk/ Awesome UNTOLD STORY cover too.

yeah, a pretty famous one too, even the Guardian wrote about this little Amsterdam shop! http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmblog/20...led-cult-movies they are doing away their very last remaining rental VHS tapes for a while now; I've been there three times now and everytime I'm surprised at how little is sold yet. The owner (really nice guy btw!) said about ten people have come by to take some tapes, which might even be a lot for Amsterdam and surroundings, but like I said it feels different... maybe nobody is interested in the underground or the chinese stuff... but I also saw still most of the Japan Shock video's laying around, a bunch of pinku and some other stuff I migth take with me on a fourth round So feeling lucky and pleased indeed!

I doubt there was anyone who hadn't heard of the Cult Videotheek video shop back in the VHS days, even those of us who didn't live in Holland! I clearly remember the owner of the Copenhagen video/record shop "Rock Uglen" showing me the Cult Videotheek catalogue with "500 uncut tapes" as it said on the cover. This was 10 years ago. They did mailorder all over Europe. There's a homepage: http://www.cultvideotheek.nl/ |
