a few more.![]() ![]() these two go for high prices on Amazon for a long time now. I hope they will someday release more Wakamatsu on DVD. In Japan there are very good releases of his movies, but without subs. Would love to own Violated Angels and Shojo Geba-Geba at least. two incredible pieces of experimental pink cinema. from these two Go Go Second Time Virgin is the absolute masterpiece I have a lot of "art-house" on DVD, so the next few might not be interesting to most here ![]() ![]() ![]() not rare, but I don't know how easy these Dutch releases can be bought. Even in the Netherlands you don't see these discs in the average DVD shop. Koridorius has just been released and I didn't have to think twice about ordering it, great cinema! Also as far as I know Moskwood is the only DVD company in the world who have released any Sharunas Bartas films (and they are English friendly too!)I also picked up some good films on English friendly DVD from France (a country that hasn't got many english friendly releases it seems...) ![]() great Starewicz animation on a Doriane Films release. I also bought my first Peter Watkins films on Doriane release, they have since been released in other countries too, but France was the first! (the Starewicz film is not available anywere else still I think) ![]() this Paradjanov film has now been released in the US, but again first in France ![]() This French film however I have not (yet) seen on any other release. A very good adaptations of the cult Houellebecq novel (English title: Whatever). The book itself is one of the most powerfull pieces of writing of recent years. I love Houellebecq's work, but this one is really his most dark, it could drive you into heavy depression

Well, don't know if I can speak off rare sleeves but I don't see them around so guess that makes them "rare". First one is limited to 666. Mine is 665.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

the last two DVD's are strange. never seen them before and the plot descriptions are in English while the releases are Dutch. Is it a porno or bootleg label maybe? |

Guess it's a bootleg label. Wrote them a letter to see what more they might have in stock but never received anything back. And the quality is definetely VHS. But it looks all very well and while I don't have the vhs lying round here this can do it for me. I bought them on ebay once from a guy from England. The artwork on Achtung is the same as SS experiment camp only different coloured. |

Time for me to regret not picking up those Wakamatsu-titles while they were available and cheap.. Nice to hear that Female Convict J-41 is getting rarer, I also have a copy of that very fine release, so lets hope there's no rerelase of that one. Achtung! and Holocaust 2 are indeed bootlegs, I believe they were sold originally by Luminous Films and Video Wurks, a dutch (?) company. I'm not sure if they're still operating and if they're still churning out boots. If I'm not misstaken they were also behind the Shoarma label that put out the hardcore version of Malabimba, sourced from the italian VHS but featuring english subtitles. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps I should pick up that Liquid Sky DVD seeing as how it is available once more, I've heard many good things about it. |

Franco's Count Dracula as very early (1996) Japanese DVD. The release code is DVD-0007 so my official theory is that this is the seventh movie ever released on DVD .
