Here's another scarce DVD from my collection. It's the out-of-print Anchor Bay DVD for Fassbinder collaborator Ulli Lommel's TENDERNESS OF THE WOLVES. Click through for full size :D

This are my rarest DVDs in my Collection (in my opinion!)

From left to right: Demons 1&2 Japanese DVD Collectors Box, Nightmare at Noon (Greek DVD!) , Black Mask (Taiwan DVD from Ritek!)

I have that BLACK MASK dvd as well, and it's certainly nice to have as it's the only uncut version which includes English subs. Just pity it's only got Mandarin dub.

I'm a bit of weirdo, since I started buying dvds around -99/00, but have since started to sell my dvds. :wacko:

I have the Japanese "Sexy Nights of the Living Dead". Complete with the original wrapping.

I also have the original japanese Deep Red dvd. Was very expensive back in the days, and it doesn't even have english subs.

Yeah thats right, but its definitely the best Version to get, the DVD is OOP and hard to get i think! All others Versions are cut except the Taiwan LD.

The Mandarin Dub is a little weird, Cantonese is more enyoable :lol:

Yeah, as a HK film fan you're certainly more used to it. It's a more "singing" dialect whereas Mandarin is very "hard".

There is an uncut, Cantonese language dvd of Black Mask but needless to say it has no English subs.

You only said;
"There is an uncut, Cantonese language dvd of Black Mask but needless to say it has no English subs. "

Nothing about what country it was released in. :(

Ofdb says:

"Bei der französischen DVD handelt es sich um eine leicht gekürzte Fassung des Actionhits. Sie ist NICHT identisch mit der Taiwan-DVD! Diverse Internet-Seiten, die das behaupten, liegen falsch!"

Babel Fish translation:

"With the French DVD concerns it an easily shortened version of the Actionhits. It is not identical to the Taiwan DVD! Various Internet sites, which maintain that, lie wrongly!"
