these are all the International Video tapes I have at the moment

they will soon be joined with "Professional Killers" that Harm had for sale on this forum

I have a bootleg of the Teenage Bride release that is indeed Sinful Dwarf. I Haven't seen the movie Teenage Bride itself released though. They made a similar mistake with the Gappa release on VML. Both the 1st and 2nd gen release of this title is actually War of the Gargantuas and I have never seen the real Gappa released on any Sunrise label.

Very cool, thanks for posting those covers. There are DVD-R bootlegs of the Crimson Bat films floating around, I'm pretty sure they are sourced from the International Video versions.

I didn't know Gappa on Sunrise was actually War of the Gargantuas. Had I known this back when I was collecting VHS, I would have picked it up for sure - it's one of my favorite Ishiro Honda films. Looking forward to the special edition coming out in US in september:

they are both labels of the same owner, located in the city of Leerdam.
Sunrise seems to be the 'umbrella' name, above listed as Video Movie Sunrise.

When I ask videorentalstore owners about "first edition SUNRISE's" and add "the redspined ones" too it, they usually look at me with a strange look and say
Quote:

"the first SUNRISE tapes came with blue spines"

...

When I ask them if they're sure they dont mean VML, they say:
Quote:

"oowwww, that's what you mean"

So it seems VML was there even before SUNRISE TAPES

Had this response a coupla times now :o

That's a very nice collection, Peter. Say, are you going on holiday at some stage? I could come over and water the plants if you want me to. :ph43r:

VML is an acronym standing for Video Movies Leerdam. My guess is this listing contains movies released not only on the VML and Sunrise Tapes labels but also "International Video" (another Sunrise label focussing on kungfu and other Asian movies) as I recognise many titles from these three labels.

How bout WORLDWIDE VIDEO PRODUCTIONS, they even have the right colour ;) :o

so like with VML and Sunrise Tapes, this International Video or Worldwide Video Productions might be a 'generational' sleeve design thing. I have yet to see any of the International Video releases that I own in a different sleeve design, but shootgringoshoot recently found a blue/International Video design version of that Orange Worldwide Video Productions tape you've got there!!

104 Don't play with tigers.
105 Day Time Ended, The 1980 John BUD Cardos

I think that last one mitght actually be 05 (my "the day time ended" tape has that number) but as I didn't make this entry it might also be a double release...? doubtful, but we'll leave it open :)

got this tape in today, and it's proof that 105 is indeed not the Day time Ended, but Massacre in the Black Forest!

I will update the first post with this and any future new numbers, so everybody can be sure the firstpost is the most complete version of the Sunrise list known to us
