1st generation SUNRISE was usually FUJI or (very, very few times) simular tapestock...
2nd gen tapes were usually later type of tapestock but sometimes also FUJI...

...so indeed no "exact science"... ;)

Friend of mine visited the VIDEOCASION duplicationcenter just when they were running those 1st run of reissues, when he told me this it cleared up the question of "why red SUNRISE's sometimes come with later tapestock" to me...

Just like VIDEOCASION first used up all remaining labels from the gone BETA era, they also used up all remaining red sleeves from the 1st generation SUNRISE/VML days... These were genuine 'Ollanders making as much as they could with the lowest investment, LOL! :D
Don't think I EVER saw a 2nd gen sleevedesign for "La Malediction De Frankenstein" BTW...

With "flaps" comparable to the "flaps" used on the FUJI's?

Tape left in your 1st pic is what I meant with "simular" tapestock used for 1st gen (red) SUNRISE...

Upperright tapestock from pic2 I've also seen on red SUNRISE's, also from the VIDEOCASION days I think...

When SUNRISE went out of business VIDEOCASION took over their catalogue/rights, later they were taken over by VDN (Video Distributie Nederland)...
