I just found out that both in the US and in Germany boxsets of Marco Ferreri films have been released recently!!

US: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/34802/marco...the-collection/
DE: http://www.buecher.de/shop/Komoedie/Marco-...od_id/23541307/

Can anyone confirm if the German box has English subs (and original dubs) on all movies? The content of this box is slightly different from the US one, but it's also a lot cheaper, so I might go for that one if it has the right language options...

Hi pector80 ,

I checked each DVD of the german Marco Ferreri box . It seems it
only features the original dubbings ( many of them were european
co-productions ) !

These are available :

Ciao maschio : german , french
Dillinger : french , italian
Grande bouffe : german , french
I love you : french , italian
Bukowski : english , german
Don't Touch the White Woman: german , french
Seeking Asylum : german , french

Unfortunately , there are NO english subs <_<

thanks for checking! (and quick too!!)
Seems I will be going for the region 1 box afterall :)

for fans of this kind of cinema: I also went to the "cult epics" homepage today which was updated from when I last visited. I alerady knew they had Tinto Brass's L'urlo listed as a future title, but now it seems a box with three early political / pop art Brass films is coming ánd a second box of Arrabal movies!!! can't wait for those.

I found another one, and in my own collection no less :)
the Indonesian movie Satanic Crystals http://www.lfvw.com/satanic_crystals.htm
comes with an English dub. I haven't watched it yet (or know much about it other than that it looks like trashy fun and I have not seen it anywhere else) , but I think Jack might like it (if you do not already have it that is, Jack :))

Satanic Crystals (!!!) looks sold out in Luminous...Do you know where else I can buy it from?

they got the name wrong in the listing, so I guess you couldn't find it when searching on the title :)

Thanks a bunch, Peter!!! I had given up on finding it cos it came out quite a while ago (early 2000s I seem to recall). Unfortunately D&T are rather slow.

THE ISLAND (1980)is out from KOCH MEDIA in Germany.Nice 16:9 enhanced print which is uncut. The only release AFAIK of this Michael Caine film to date.
THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR (1975)(WARNER.)The Yul Brynner actioner is also out in Germany though there is also a r1/r2 US disc from Warner double billed with Battle Beneath The Earth
DOC SAVAGE-MAN OF BRONZE (1975)(WARNER)The George Pal film is out though in fullscreen in a passable print.
PHANTOM OF THE RUE MORGUE (1954)(WARNER)This looks like it's been created from 3 different prints of varying quality but it's worth getting for fans if cheap enough.
All the above have English/German language options as I have them all.

Don't forget giallos.

Die Diamantenlady aka Devil Has Seven Faces. Nice giallo featuring George Hilton and Carroll Baker.

A little warning might be in order here, concerning German releases of "lost" movies. Especially for you quality freaks; Germans love to combine prints.

But they release real treasures and Devil Has Seven Faces is in it's original aspect ratio.

Us (?) based Alpa also released this one as a fullscreen vhs rip. A bootleg imo. <_<

Did somebody already mention The Fishmen and Their Queen -95..
Released together with the -79 version by Marketing Film.
Sergio Martino's 95 version takes guts to watch, it's so bad!
