Hi guys,

I have recently re-discovered my love for Portuguese tapes. They have lovely artwork, are most certainly almost uncut (Portuguese constitution explicitly forbids any form of censorship) and the picture quality is superb.

I so far have gathered these:

Cannibal Holocaust - Romalusa
Gestapo's last orgy - Romalusa
Nazi Love Camp 27 - Legal Video
Cannibal Ferox - Filmitalus
Eaten Alive - Filmitalus
Antropophagous - Vista Video

I also have three more in my storage in Germany

Phenomena - Imavideo
Crimes of the black cat - Imavideo
Terror at the Opera - Video Time

Plus one on the way:

Last cannibal world - Romalusa

Check out the cool Government age certs on the spine of the tapes!

I know there are a few more - Spasmo, Cannibal Apocalypse, Tenebre...

Does anybody here have any more Portuguese tapes or knows what's out???

Any help/Feedback is much appreciated!

Correct, the ONLY complete release worldwide...
I compared it to the US, Argentinean, Dutch, japanese and Swiss release and this one is longer than all of them...

And I believe this tape is the only known copy...

I've been very surprised by the picture quality of Portuguese tapes.
I recently pulled a few from storage and was amazed at the picture quality. The quality of the Portuguese tape of 'Last Cannibal World' is the best I've seen of any VHS version bar none. Even properly widescreen!

There appears to be a link between Portuguese Imavideo and Israeli King Films tapes... both have the same design with yellow cassettes, same releases with the same trailers... The Portuguese "Crimes" even has a trailer for "Rulers of the city" that boasts Hebrew subtitles! Can somebody shed light on this phenomenon?

the portugese tapes of O Segredo Da Mumia and As Sette Vampiras are both widescreen and rare as hell! These were released in 1989 and re-released in 1996.

2 very rare Brazilian films from Ivan Cardoso
