Taiwan: jsdvd.com http://mall.jsdvd.com/index.php Very nice shop with taiwanese, hk, korean etc releases and naturally taiwanese movies. I ordered limited editions so it took some time for the dvds to get in stock, but not that long imo. Taiwan has some truly amazing limited editions and the prices aren't bad. The service is very friendly. A little oddity was that they answered my email inquiries by posting the answers in my order history(!). After my order was complete and ready to ship, I mailed and asked them if I could ad a few more items to my order in order to save on p&p. And sure thing, that wasn't a problem. Two more dvds and my parcel was ready to ship. Now comes this shops specialty. You have to buy the p&p costs separately after they have weighed and packed the items. And as usual, they informed me about it in my order history. So don't bother waiting for an email notification. Other than that, it appears to be a good, customer friendly shop with some neat titles. New ordinary dvds are really cheap, my taiwanese horror movie (with english subs) was only about 2 euros. When you checkout, tick the box with that the ordinary credit card symbols (Visa, Mastercard etc), not the one with the cc symbols and the name of a taiwanese bank. Well, unless you're a customer of that bank. Jsdvd has verified by Visa so your cc should be safe. ------------------------------------------------ I asked Jsdvd to mark my parcel as a gift and they did, but still the customs office stopped my parcel anyway. Real idiots btw. First I got a letter from the customs informing me that they had my parcel. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then I sent them an email asking if I could mail them the details about how much my dvds were worth. After a few days they answered me, saying yes send us the details. But to call before I do it, since they don't check their email regularly. But I sent them the info without calling. Checking customer emails should be a part of the regular customer service! Days went by and nothing. The next week I got another letter from the customs, the same damn papers about the same damn parcel! So I called them and a sleepy guy answered and told me he'd inform the customs officer I had dealt with about the email I had sent. Well, about ½ hour the customs officer called me and told me they couldn't find the parcel on their computer, no such item with that code in their database. For FF, they sent me the papers with that very same code, twice! And now they couldn't find it! I'm quite fed up with their bad service at this time so I decided to do nothing. Now, almost a week later the door rings and the mailman (woman actually) brings me the parcel, I sign for it and she wishes me a nice day. So after a couple of weeks of lazy service, the package just appears on my doorstep!

Well, at least you got your stuff in the end! Thanks for your 'report' there, Kurt. Seems like a good place to order from. I've known about the place for a long time but never ordered anything cos I could never find anything of interest. What did you order (and especially which Taiwan films did you get?). |

Are they somehow linked to BlueLaser, also located in the US?? Bluelaser is thee worst store ever. The first time I used them was when Linn Haynes told me it was the only place that still had the Celestial LOST SOULS vcd (way way before it came out in the US). It took them two months to send it. I wrote to them two or three times as well and I never got a reply. I've since ordered one more film from them and like yours it never turned up. AVOID THIS STORE!!! |
