Hey guys, you have the right to have your thoughts and beleives but not to speak like that. As I've said before I will deleted any rude posts even if the remain topic doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm sorry...

Using bad language you harm yourselves and make your positions & thoughs weaker. Can't you understand it? If you speak like that it sounds you cannot prove your words but you just...hate (?!) the opposite person...and I'm sure we don't give a damn about it!

Fair enough Miltos.

Like I predicted, nothing good would come from this.

Thanx! After all, this is a thread about cut DVDs! Conversation went a lot off-topic...

Again, all thoughts are free here but keep it gentle & cool.

As for the $20 price....give me a break!! Seriously.
For example: go buy the Japan version of 'Hunchback of the Morgue' (if you can find it) and see what you pay for it.
Why people bitch about price always puzzles me. I guess it's peoples nature to gripe.

he's not gonna find it  , infact , he won't even find a cover scan or pic of the front cover...ect...

and Bill u r quite right ,people love to gripe and what's even more amazing is these same people have no interest in said merchandise of which prices they r complaining about....

The best quality version of HUNCHBACK OF THE MORGUE comes from Anolis. Not only that, but the DVD has a Naschy commentary (with English subs provided), a trailer, and other goodies, and all this comes in a nice casing with a booklet. Several enterprising bootleggers have already made this version available in the States for as low as $10.

The Japanese version, available via DVD-R bootlegs, doesn't have the same visual quality as the Anolis DVD and is marred with forced Japanese subtitles throughout the film.

Ah, that's the forthcoming barebones release. Not the one I'm talking about. And, yes, it is a horrid cover.

Well, it's really a nice "casing," which is what I wrote, a casing that tries to imitate leather a bit. The cover, as such, is low-key because of that. If someone wants to upload the Japanese cover for HUNCHBACK to compare (I've never seen it), they are welcome. If there ever was such a cover, it probably has big-size fonts all over the place, as was the case with the Japanese release of WEREWOLF SHADOW.

I agree that video covers can contain extraordinary, exploitative artwork. That said, the best Naschy cover I've seen was for the first two BCI releases, THE NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF and VENGEANCE OF THE ZOMBIES.
