Heres an interesting idea, lets post some DVD releases (worldwide) of ultra-obscure films that you would have never imagined being on DVD. Try to provide a link or at least what label the title is on. any other info as well such as cuts, language, aspect ratio, etc... The Following 2 can be bought at amazon.com! ![]() Legend of Nigger Charley (Blax Label) - This is not the best release, but probably the only one there ever will be. Heres the amazon info: The DVD is fullscreen. It is transferred from a videotape source, most likely 3/4" betamax. It seems likely the source was originally taped off-air as there seem to be "reception" problems such as a static-filled hiss on occasion, like one might hear when watching an antenna broadcast and a plane flies overhead. Also the image is unclear at times, "ghosting" is present, and there are pervasive video "dropouts" (white dots and lines) throughout. On occasion there is video "wrinkle" that is unique to 3/4" broadcast elements. The film is edited for broadcast standards. Mild swear words are muted, so phrases come out like "you God-... son of a...," although there are pervasive uses of the "n-word" throughout. Some scenes seem to indicate clumsy editing for content ... Love scenes seem truncated, especially, and there is no blood to be seen onscreen, but lots of guns are fired. ![]() The Soul of Nigger Charley (Blax Label) - Thius one isnt Great either, but still a very rare film indeed! The info: Source material seems to be an aged film print, possibly 35mm. It is scratched, filthy, and faded throughout. Contrast almost nonexistent and the wrong lens is used for the "transfer." Box promises 2.35:1 aspect ration but what you get is closer to 1.85:1 and a slightly scrunched image. Focus problems persist throughout and an operator actually wrestles with it at one point and attempts to manually adjust it as the film plays (!!!). The print's raggedy nature adds to the appeal for this viewer but your results may vary. There is hiss and crackle on the soundtrack from beginning to end. Menu screen has a button for "trailers" and "feature" but both result in starting the film. No extras are present. Also the Film 'Boss Nigger' is available on the Blax Label as well and is supposed to be the best quality out of the three. I couldnt find it on amazon though... these are 3 very rare Blaxploitation Westerns under their original titles, Im not sure of any other releases for these Rare films. |

![]() Captive Planet (under Star Odyssey Title) - I actually own this DVD release which is a Cheap-o Dollar store DVD that comes in a slim case. Packed on the DVD are a bunch of old Superman Cartoons and some other Space Cartoons from the 1950s. The Film itself Is the Full length feature film presented in Full screen. It is clearly taken from the US VHS release from the early 80's. Surprisingly the VHS master used was in great condition and their are no VHS glitches present at all. Overall, this release is WELL worth the One Dollar price tag! You can get this off of Amazon.com for a Penny!!! yes, One Cent my friends! I highly suggest you get it now! |

![]() Class Reunion Massacre/ Carnage (Andy Milligan) Double Feature Disc - Heres 2 rare and Cheesy 80's films. I have this one as well. Both films are sourced from VHS Masters, both are of good quality, Its been awhile, but I dont remember their being any VHS glitches present. As far as I can tell both films are the uncut versions. I didnt notice any differences in this DVD release compared to the J-VHS releases. Overall these films are both incredibly bad, but great! I found this one in the Dollar store as well! Can be had off amazon for cheap! |

Cool idea. Hmm, I looked up Captive Planet on IMDB and the always thorough and knowledgeable people at that film base tell me that an aka title for the film is METALLICA.

I'm telling you, CAPTIVE PLANET is a must in every trash afecionados collection! Used to watch it religiously back when I was having sleeping trouble, there's something about Brescia's lazy direction and the Marcello Giombibi music that just sends me off to dreamland every time... But seriously, I love it to death! 1 cent is a bargain for sure but I think i'll stick with my danish rental... Here's one i'd never though somebody would have the nerve to unleash on DVD... swedish Z movie auter Mats "Ninja Mission" Helge's THE FORGOTTEN WELLS, a horror/action hybrid that's so dumb it shouldn't be allowed to exist! He really outdid himself with this spectacle - you haven't experienced turkey until you have sat through it. Obviously sourced from VHS, english language (or should we call it "swinglish"). The blurb on the DVD says "a thick and exiting horror-thriller... with CAMILLA LUNDÉN, Swedens new Ingrid Bergman" (hah!)

Just recently found out that Franco's osbscure LA CHUTE DES AIGLES found it's way to Czech DVD, and in english language no less! And yay, I got a copy on the way! (it should be noted that this one's most certainly for diehard-franophiles only as i've never heard anybody say anything good about it - ever! Not even Robert Monell...) |

Here is the link where you can buy both of the last Zombiemovies Mattei ever made (R.I.P. Bruno!) http://www.ritkavideo.cz/?open=eshop&do=de...d=zombiezacatek http://www.ritkavideo.cz/?open=eshop&do=de...od=zombieostrov They are called Zombie: Zacatek aka Zombies: The Beginning and Zombie: Ostrov Smrti aka Island Of The Living Dead I have paid 30 Euros incl. p&p to Austria... By the Way the Movies are really so BAD and CHEAP, but i love both of them! Like the 80ies are back again  Did you know that Mattei did another Movies in 2006, a WIP Movie like Laura or Bare Behind Bars, but the Trailer looks like some kind of Trash as Trash Can! The Jail - Anime Perse http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=8dIRAi6K_YQ |
