Now this is one dvd release I would never have hoped for, at least so soon after I had seen the film. But I'll be a monkey's uncle's decapitated head if Severin hasn't gone and done it. Unfortunately, it appears that aside from an anamophic 1.85 video transfer, the dvd has no extra features (barring a trailer), and not even a subtitle track! I think I will stick to my VHS-to-dvd copy (thanx again, Wayne!) for now, but for anyone who hasn't got the film yet, the Severin R1 'unrated' dvd should be a no-brainer. I haven't seen it but I take it you like the film, and I'm gonna check it out for sure myself at some stage. But as Dirty Harry says opinions are like assholes everyone has got one  and listen to what this guy had to say at Amazon:

Crap is his head, not the film. It's a gem. I've seen it on Greek VHS. I never understand - why idiots who don't like euro-exploitation films loose their time writing reviews about them? Don't get me wrong, of course I beleive all this is a matter of personal taste. Of course! But if you read reviews in IMBd and Amazon you understand these guys basically don't like this kind of films considering them silly b-movies. Their right but why the hell spend their time for reviews? |

lol! Jack, I liked the film, but let me tell ya: it IS something of an acquired taste. This is one of those items you either love or hate, no middle ground. If you go into the movie with the right frame of mind, you'll enjoy it. It's bizarre, kitschy, over the top, convoluted, yet never less than entertaining, fast-paced, and deliriously fun. This is one odd (even more than Death Laid An Egg) little entry into the 'giallo' sub-genre that deserves to be brought out of obscurity.

Hi Milto's, I totallly agree with you. I think that most of the reviews are without merit from people that basically dont enjoy older cult cinema gems. Maybe all of us at cinehound should start OUR OWN www.eurocinemadatabase.com or ECDB.COM where fans that enjoy these kinds of films can go to get detailed information without having to listen to negative comments from individuals that have't a clue on rare cinema.
