Resonator05: What are you gonna do? Hit me in the head with a Exciting! tape? ;)

Petcor80: I would say that my DVD & VHS budget are about the same, but for me it goes in periods... last months i've been buyig a lot of VHS but before that period I bought almost exlusively DVD:s for a while. But now I felt it was time to take a break from the trash and catch up on some quality DVD:s i've missed out on. "Celine" was on sale for about ten euro, not much to fuzz about there... should be interesting to finally check out Rivette.

Yeah, just too bad we have the swedish krona here (which has also hit bottom lately), the prices were about the same as usual for me. And it's no fun ordering from xploitedcinema or dvdpacific anymore now that the dollar has gone up so much...

Hehe, you oldtimers with crazy VHS collections are all amateurs when it comes to DVD! ;)

You still have to a little careful when you buy nasty horror and exploitation films on UK DVD though, especially if there's sexual violence involved. Check for reviews at www.dvd-basen.dk or use www.dvdcompare.net if you're unsure.

A eurospy that has got a really nice, english friendly release from the symphatetic little label Fin de Sicle Media.

The Eric M Nilsson Collection (R2 SWE):

Eric M. is a documentary/experimental filmmaker (kinda like the swedish mid-career Godard) and one of swedens best kept secrets, he's very obscure even here and most of his works could only be watched on nth generation TV-copies from the early 1980s prior to the release of this box. Some wonderful, funny, intelligent experimental films from a unique filmmaker, oh happy days! My only complaint is that my favorite BARON ALIGRES HEMSKA CIRKUS is not in the collection. Not subbed unfortunely.

Don (India?)
Sholay (India?)

Yes, India, more precisely Hindi.

Which DON is it? 1978 or 2006?
SHOLAY: Which DVD did you buy? And which version does it contain?

Yeah, In know they are indian movies but I have no idea what if they're indian releases or what region they're in. Picked them up by an indian guy at a flea market who really shined up when I asked him about Raj Kapoor movies. I guess he mostly sells his films to other indians.

No idea which version Sholay is, it's released by Eros Entertainment if that helps...

It's the old Don.

I consider myself a huge Jean Rollin fan and I can't believe I missed the DVD release of THE ESCAPEES! Well, that mistake is now corrected now, just made a order. It's the last Jean Rollin I have left that I really want to see, after that one there's only the 90s stuff and the pornos left...

Got some serious OOP angst and order these:

The Candy Snatchers (Subverseive)
Future-Kill (Subversive)
The Gardener (Subversive)
The Freakmaker (Subversive)
The Vampire Collection (Casa Negra9
The Living Coffin (Casa Negra)
The Man and the Monster (asa NEgra9
Eugenie de Sade (Blue Underground)
Night of the Skull (Image)
Super Robot Red Baron - the compete series (BCI Eclipse)
Ultraman season 2 (BCI Eclipse)
Iron King - the complete series (BCI Eclipse)

It's sad how many good companies have gone under during the last year (NoShame, Casa Negra, Subversive etc). Now seems a good time to support your favorite indie DVD compsnies...
