I'd love to see a Tagalog versiion of this. Anyone got one?? The English dub, for example, complelety changes the music on those opening scenes. It's some kind of weird 80's band on screen and they lay some hideous rock-a-boogie tune over it.

The director of that film, Tata Esteban, now deceased sadly, was one of the most interesting Filipino film makers of that period. I've only aseen a few of his films, but they've all been stunners in one way or another. The uncut (with the samurai sword scene) Hubo sa Dilim is quite a piece of work. Not up to Silip level, but not so far behind. He had a real interestign visual style.
