...i'm listening to Talk Talk - Living In Another World. Great song by a band that was far too musically ambitious and original to be dismissed as just another hairspray synthpop band for the VH1 crowd...

A lot of different stuff:

MOONDAWN by Klaus Schulze. Nothing gets me out of a rut like this guy! A true composer of electronica in the most classical sense.

IN PINE EFFECT by mu-ziq. I love this guy. Truly interesting, carefully crafted electronica. In fact, I think his best work can best some of his protege's, Richard D. James (AKA Aphex Twin). I really wish this was the public's definition of techno, not that crappy "rave" stuff <_<

SECOND HEAT by Racer X. I gotta admit this band would be just another LA glam/hair band without the molten lava guitar wizardry of Paul Gilbert. He constantly amazes, enough to overshadow the silly lyrics which badly date the material.

BURNT WEENY SANDWICH by Frank Zappa: Some primo Zappa here in his prime fusion era. "The Little House I used to Live in" is a classic cut.

Love Schulze, used to be glued to the couch for days with a good mate and a load of high grade...
We'd play the old Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Azra Temple/Manuel Gottsching, Cosmic Dealer, Gong Hillage etc. :D
Great memories!

"Burnt Weenie Sandwich" is one of my Zappa favorites as well!
