Hey fellow cinepups! Just a quick update to let you guys know that the #666 copy of our DVD release will be going LIVE on Ebay for auction tomorrow, Friday the 13th! I wanted the CINEHOUND forums to be the place where it was first announced outside of the SARCOPHILOUS FILMS website, as this is a place i hold dear... There will be plenty of time to make your bids for this UNIQUE and AMAZING package and i hope there are those amongst you who are keen to make this incredible once-in-a-lifetime collectable your very own! You think that our Special Edition DVD release of "INVITATION TO HELL" & "THE LAST NIGHT" is going to be rare and collectable once all 1,000 units have sold? Well, this copy of the release, numbered '666' of 1,000 is without a shadow of a doubt THE rarest DVD the world has ever seen! Number '666' of 1,000 it is also, in effect, '1 of 1' as it contains the following EXCLUSIVE bonus features that are NOT available with the other 999 units: Double-sided DVD sleeve, featuring the standard Special Edition sleeve art on one side and exclusive alternate sleeve-art on the reverse that uses the original video/poster art from the earl-1980s! It is the ONLY copy of the ultra-limited 1,000 edition run that is a 2-DISC edition, featuring a specially created 2nd disc of 17 trailers for Mike's films that Mike himself put together AND a special introduction filmed by Mike congratulating the winning bidder! It contains ten EXCLUSIVE postcards of scenes from both films that will be personalised by Mike with little recollections of the scene or the people involved in the shot! There are 2 poster reproductions (297 x 420mm) EXCLUSIVE to this set, one a reproduction of the original very rare banned video poster design and the other a reproduction of the rare sanctioned videoshop poster design! A spoof "party invite"...this is a fake "invitation to Hell" party invite that will be personalised by Mike to the winning bidder by name and signed by the "host" himself, Michael J. Murphy! Finally...the major selling point maybe for some...the original demon mask, as worn in "INVITATION TO HELL" by Steve Longhurst! The original mask, long thought to be disgarded after the production, was kept by Steve Longhurst and he dug this amazing piece of B-movie Brit-horror memorabilia out of his attic and offered it to us to make this amazing auction truly incredible! Our thanks go to Steve for preserving this item and also for being so kind and gracious as to offer it to us for YOU to have the opportunity to own! There you have it...#666...auction going LIVE on Friday the 13th of February on EBAY...keep your eyes peeeeeeeeeeled!!! |

As soon as the auction goes live later today i will provide a link. In the meantime, keep an eye on our website also. Hopefully, we will get the photos of the entire package up on there before the auction starts but if not i will try posting a few photos here also of course an hour or two before! Thanks for the support guys! |

Hi guys... The auction is up and live! Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220361578445 Sorry i couldn't get around to putting some exclusive pics of the set on here for you lot but i literally only just finished touching-up the photos and listing the damned thing a few mins ago after hours and hours of messing with them! I HAD hoped to get this auction going live by around 8pm or 9pm but 11:45pm shows you just how much messing around there was...lol I will try to find the time to add some exclusive alternate photos of the set to Photobucket or something and add them on here tomorrow though if possible... Now...what the Hell are you reading THIS for...get bidding!!!!! |

why is the auction private for ? , that's pretty shady if u ask me, PRIVATE and SHILL go hand and hand , it's not like ur protecting the other bidders from some other seller with ur product as there is only one in exisitance.... i'm not saying there's anything shady going on persay, but me persinally i would never bid on a private auction ... |

Rarest dvd in the world means nothing to me! But i guess im just stuck in 1983 for some reason. I mean it was a real shit year for me thats for sure, bad acne, bad haircut, bad grades cause i spent all my time at the video rental store!. I was even dating the girl that worked behind the counter at night ( it was her mums shop ) talk about the movie 'clerks', and that ended badly too! dvds dont mean a thing, cause they aint got that swing, not to me anyway Sorry for invading this thread with this rant <_< |
