Anyone know if this film by Michel Houellebecq has had a dvd-release? It´s been cut to pieces by the critics, but i´m really curious about it since i like the mans books, and this one in particular. A strange cult, a post apocalyptic future, a lot of sex, should work as a movie as well!

Hi magnus !

The DVD has been released in France in March :

... but there are no subs and no extras !

You may also want to check out Iggy Pop's latest CD which was inspired by Michel Houellebecq's book !

Thanks! Too bad there´s no subs on the dvd... but maybe no international one will be released as this was quite a fiasco...
now that you mention it, i heard about that Iggy Pop record, pretty strange idea.

saw this at Sitges. Loved it. But I was the only one! It's very different from the book and has a great "cosmic" Lovecraftian kind of feel to it. Well worth seeing.

I have a feeling i´d really like it as well!
Hmm, "very different from the book", that means subtiles would be good, if it was very similar to the book i would probably understand what´s going on anyway... Oh well, i´m getting picky, trivial things like understanding the dialogue never used to mean much to me when it´s a film that sounds good.
