Ok folks. Most of you will only known the famous indonesian movies as MYSTICS IN BALI, DEVIL'S SWORD, SNAKE QUEEN, JAKA SEMBUNG Movies, BLIND WARRIOR, RAMBU, LADY TERMINATOR, SPECIAL SILENCERS, REVENGE OF NINJA and another handful of movies, which have received a release in several western countries.
But from the 70's until the early 90's were hundreds of action-and horrormovies produced.
They were packed with nonstop action, bizarre magic rituals, cheap, but very gory fx and strange stories about black magic, sorcery and more.
Only a few were shown outside from indonesia or malaysia.
I have now nearly 300 of these movies and will from time to time some of this little known movies present briefly.
Expected however no deep-going reviews because all of these movies are in bahasia language and i don't understand what's going on here.
I want to start with

MISTERI PERMAINAN TERLARANG

Year: 1993

Director: Atok Suharto

Cast: Lela Anggraini, Kiki Fatmala, Teguh Yulianto, Heru Siswanto, Piet Pagau

Genre: Horror

Citra, a young woman is attacked by four men who raped and brutally beaten her. As she wakes up, she met a pretty woman named Gizma, their offers to help to take revenge to her rapists.
She doesn't know that Gizma is an evil witch. She used citra's body to have sex with
some men to kill them after.
The rapists dies in some gruesome deaths, one is impaled, another loses his head, one is choked until his eyes burst from his head !!!
Together with her friend Ranu Citra takes up the fight against Gizma.

This is one of these movies where the western viewer sits on the armchair and can hardly believe what all happened here.
Bizarre killings, flying heads, some victims are pulled in a statue (a little reference to hellraiser 3 ?)
and in the final battle we see a headless corpse which draws his own head to the body, magic duels and more strange stuff.
In short, big entertainment and a lot of fun is guaranteed.

Sorry Jack, but unfortunately this is one of the few movies(around 30) i have only
on dvd-r

Well, another movie

AJIAN RATU LAUT KIDUL

Year: 1991

Director: Sisworo Gautama Putra

Cast: Suzanna, Johny Indo, Clift Sangra, Rita Sheba

Genre: Horror

Lasting(Suzanna) the village head in a small town is bewitched from the shaman by means of black magic on behalf of Anggoro, which self wants to be village head. Lasting chased by the mob from the village and when she in the morning the hanged bodys of their only daughter and her boyfriend discovered, she wants to commit suicide.
Her suicide is stopped by Ki Jagasatru (Clift Sangra) that was delegated by the supernatural south sea queen to rescue Lasting.
With the help of magic forces Lasting takes the fight against Anggoro and his henchmen to.

Holy shit. Where to start. Here we have it all. Rape, fights, exploding body, snake came out of mouth, brutal killings, a melting face, very gory eye squeeze out scene, bizarre transformations and more.
Indonesian trash at his best. Surprising bloody, although with a runtime of 75min it seems to be cut. Recommended.

Oh yes the vcd cover of this movie is on the first site in this thread, but it
has nothing to do with this movie
