Kothar, if you're loaded (with money) you can actually get a multi video that plays vhs/beta and SECAM for your French tapes!!

wow! :o
You always dig up the best, weirdest looking stuff.
Are these hard to find? expensive? I'd surely spend some $'s to get my mitts on some.

You can get a lot of cool Indo films on vcd from Cinemashops in Malaysia:

I've got quite a few Barry Prima and Suzzanna films from there.

I definitely want to check out a bunch of that Barry Prima stuff. The only movie I have seen of his is The Devil's Sword which is fantastic. I plan on ordering The Warrior from MM soon too. What is the quality of the VCD's like?

There's a big difference between the VCDs. The Celestial VCDs from Hong Kong are awesome! Really good when you compare them to other VCDs. They're not quite DVD quality tho. And my experience with VCDs from Malaysia (i.e. the Indonesian films) is that they're pretty bad. They pixilate an awful lot, and needless to say they're not subtitled. But often it's the ONLY way to watch these movies.

Amazing stuff. It's been years since I bought my last VCDs... I think it was before the arrival of DVD. By looking at all those indonesian films, I really would like to buy a few of them. Tonight, I've ordered a couple of titles edited by Mondo Macabro but I want more... i've tried to go to the cinemashops on the internet but it seems that the link doesn't work anymore. Is it normal? Is there another good site for ordering these kind of films?

I haven't been to Cinemashops for a few months so that's definitely news to me. I hope it's only temporary. I was gonna recommend Esindo but, uhhhh, they're not online either at the moment!

We have a list of Asian shops here and there's one more good store in Malaysia:

Thanks Jack! I will check this list. I hope that cinemashops will come back too... It seems a little bit difficult to get some vcd on the internet... Maybe some on-line stores are taking long vacation.

Yesterday afternoon, i've seen some clips of that movie called PANTHER. Wow! I want my copy of it! :D Too bad it's not released on DVD (or even on Blu-Ray, let's dream about it!).

It's really a despair to find VCD on the Net. Can't find nothing to my taste. I'm jealous of Kothar! "oops!:

In the past (around 2005-2009)i have ordered tons of vcd's from cinemashop. It was always gonna be okay, but in the last year i have an order where i got nothing, nix, nada !!!
I guess which over the years now almost all vcd's are oop.
Maybe is why the page is down ??
Most of my vcd's i have not already ordered at onlineshops but rather private by friends in
indonesia. But they also say that is more and more difficult to get the old movies as vcd
even in indonesia. On DVD not at all. Only new movies came out on DVD.
It is very sad, but not probably to change.
Which is very unfortunate that i have not found this site rather.

They had tons of indo vcd's, but sadly long time gone :(

I dont know if you life in a "big" city........but i knwo in zurich (that isnt that much of a big city  ) alott of the asian and indian stores also sell vcd/dvd's
I think even when you start a talk with one of these store owners he/she might be able to help you finding some way to order disks.
