I've just found out the US/Puerto Rican tape that I posted in the above is cut! The same musical scene that reportedly is missing from the German VHS is also missing here. I won this today on German eBay: DEADLY ANGELS STRIKE BACK.

Kothar, your info is not correct!!!!!! (and yes, it took me three years to find out) CEWEK JAGOAN BERAKSI KEMBALI (aka Deadly Angels Strike Back) is NOT Tödliche Engel Schlagen Zurück!!! I am familiar with CEWEK JAGOAN BERAKSI KEMBALI (English title on print: Deadly Angels Strike Back) as I own the Malay VCD. And I just TODAY received the German VHS of Tödliche Engel Schlagen Zurück and I should point out I have watched both movies so this is by no means speculation on my part. The film on the German tape is FIRE OF VENGEANCE!!! Both films are directed by DANU UMBARA and both films are about women who take revenge, and Barry Prima is in both films. But they are different films. Your French VHS is called Le Feu de la Vengeance and this is probably the same film as the German tape. The cover pictures are definitely from the same film (but the French info on the cover is wrong! It's of course not a Hong Kong film but Indonesian! This WRONG info was also repeated on the Complete Index to World Film data base!). http://www.citwf.com/film116574.htm And the same wrong info is used on the OFDB data base. And the person who posted it even used the credits from the wrong film (Eva Arnaz, Dana Christina, Debbie Cinthya Dewi are NOT in FIRE OF VENGEANCE/Tödliche Engel Schlagen Zurück. They are however in CEWEK JAGOAN BERAKSI KEMBALI/Deadly Angels Strike Back). More confusion: You list the Indonesian title for the French VHS as PERHITUNGAN TERAKHIR. The Complete Index to World Film data base lists PERHITUNGAN TERAKHIR and FIRE OF VENGEANCE as two different films!!! But I bet it's yet another data base fuck up. It's the same film, just under its Indo title and International title!! http://www.citwf.com/person417426.htm The French VHS: ![]() Lebanese poster: ![]() PS: Altho it was the "wrong" film I am really happy about my new German tape. The Malay VCD's are always in crappy fullscreen but this VHS is presented in beautiful full letterbox picture and looks stunning!! And of course the film is totally wild and crazy. However, I wonder if it is cut. Some of the plot is slightly more confused than usual. In one scene the main character is drugged and in the next scene she is walking around in the jungle looking for a kung fu teacher. Like, huh, how, I mean... wha'???   Kothar, if you've got the time could you please time your French VHS at some point? That would be cool, thanks! (the cover says 80 min. but that can't be right!). The German tape runs around 88 min. |

I know, i know Jack. Sorry, but at this time (when I started the thread) i had not the German vhs. I had only read the OfdB which listed TÖDLICHE ENGEL as original title CEWEK JAGOAN BERAKSI KEMBALI. Now of course i know it better because i have now the german vhs, the french vhs and the indonesian vcd of PERHITUNGAN TERAKHIR. The german vhs had 6 short cuts of violence but is still the longest version !!! The french vhs runs really only 80min but the cut german scenes are complete !!! But is cut in the plot ! The indonesian vcd runs 83:37min. The german violence cuts are here also completely !!!, but has two longer cut in the plot. Aaargh But i have until now not made a detailed comparison between this different versions. |

Argh! So all versions are cut somehow. Someone should make a composite print with English subtitles! Do you know if the film was released anywhere else. I'm sure an English language print must exist, I'm sure they showed the print in English in Lebanon, but was it ever released on VHS?

After a longer time some news. In recent weeks i just got a large bunch of totaly rare indo movies. (over 50 movies !!!!) Unfortunately only copies, but almost all are very very hard to get as original (impossible for most from these). A big thanks goes first to Tom (shootgringoshoot) for a few of very rare movies on dvd-r. And the second thanks goes to Daniel from indonesia who send me a package with many rarities. Thanks again mates. Because this thread has become a bit confusing, i work on an absolutely complete list of my indo movies. Should be ready in a few days.
