A really big thanks to you too jnfernal for the great job you did getting me all the 29 VCDs of indonesian movies. If all the other recommendation isnīt enough I will also highly recommend you.

When I have time I might take pictures of the VCD and publish here. Would really like to buy more to if I wasnīt out of a job right now.

I also really hope you get the rights to thous great movies. I will definitely do anything to get a hold of copies of all of them. So sign me up for a pre-order.

Is there any possibility to get a hold of some of thous Jester DVDs? I have two and they are great movies.

I guess there are people in this world who don't read my Asian blog. :P

I've several times mentioned an online store in Malaysia where you can order the Dragon Jester DVD's.

Here's a link to 225 of their DVD's (som are sold out):

They take PayPal

Malaysia is the only place where ONCE UPON A TIME IN TRIAD SOCIETY is released on DVD. It's letterboxed even, and optional English subs. I was lucky to get a copy but it's sold out now.

eh, the dvds on Dragon Jester are really hard to find. A guy commissioned me to find a 20+ chinese movies and I could find only half of them, mostly in 1 copy only. The fact is that they are considered "old" releases for malaysian standards (old is everything made more than 2 years ago...) and they sold really well during the years as chinese and malay people LOVE horror movies: I see young couples in dvd shops undecided if buying a "hantu movie" (horror/ghost movie) or a porn movie :D

But while most of the english titles are still quite easy to find, all the chinese horror movies became almost impossible. I know a shop not too far from my home which has a 6-7 of them but I am leaving Malaysia for Thailand within 25th of January and I'll be back in one month or so....

Just watched Warok Singo Kobra. A truly awesome movie, but the VCD was obviously cut. I think that is the only way to watch the movie but I have to check with you here if its possible to get a hold of the movie uncut? Cut or uncut it still was a really great film.

You know, I was told that most of the indonesian movies (both released on VCD in Indonesia and Malaysia) are cut because the old 2-discs VCD could contain a maximum of 40+40 minutes each

The new VCDs (mostly 1 disc only) can contain additional space, up to 90 minutes

In any case, I can't find them now....I am moving to Thailand on monday....

That might be true, but this was cut for gore. So I donīt think it was because the time of the movie was too long. For example a man raises his sword and then they cut and the next frame is a women in her bed without a head. And this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...ZyqR7tI#t=1433s

Yeah....probably they cut also because of gore. Or when it was time to cut the movie for fitting in a 40+40 they decided to cut the most sensitive scenes....
