Firstly, I can never remember those Indonesian titles so I usually use the English ones. And yes, they were both dubbed into English but only BLIND WARRIOR exists on VHS/DVD. I've written about the entire WARRIOR series here:
http://enlejemordersertilbage.blogspot.com...-and-ninja.html

THE BLIND WARRIOR has been released on DVD in the UK and Germany. Both DVDs hold both the English and German dub. Both DVD versions are difficult to find. On VHS there is at least a tape from Hong Kong (English dub, Chinese subs). I have both the UK DVD and the HK VHS. :D

SATAN'S BED was dubbed into English for cinema but has never been released in any home-cinema format. There are no bootlegs of it either. In my 10 years as an Indo movie collector I have only one time heard of someone who had a copy and that was the guy from South Africa who runs Global (who puts out lots of rare spaghetti westerns). You might remember about 2 years ago on Cinehound he posted about how he was planning to put out around 10 Filipino and Indo films on DVD. The thing is he owns lots and lots of film prints. I'm told (by someone who went to visit him to buy films from him a few years back) that he inherited all these film prints from his father-in-law who owned one of the biggest cinemas in South Africa. And now his films are just lying around in a garage! One of the prints was a 35mm print of SATAN'S BED and he was going to put it out in that series of DVDs but it never happened cos the few Filipino films that he did put out (Cleopatra Wong + Bionic Boy 1 & 2) sold very little (300 copies of each). So he gave it up. However, he had already made a DVD copy of SATAN'S BED and I wrote to him and asked if I could buy a copy to which he said yes. I believe he never sold another copy to anyone else, and a friend of mine recently wrote to him to buy some Filipino films but was told he doesn't sell them anymore. In other words I'm probably sitting on the only copy in the world! And needless to say I'm holding on to it until I get a good offer from a bootlegger. I'm thinking something like 10,000 dollars. :hello!:
[EDIT: it's now September, i.e. 6 months after I wrote this post, and nobody has commented on my 10,000 dollar joke! I thought it would be OBVIOUS that I was cracking a joke! It would be fairly retarded if I really thought I'd be able to get 10,000 for a dvdr of a film, no matter how rare this Indonesian film is. Haha]
Since the DVD came directly off a 35mm print it is fully letterboxed and the colours are good. The print is a bit worn at the beginning and at reel changes but otherwise it's great looking. The film is kind of an Indonesian version of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.
Btw, I also own the German tape which Kotar has. It's very rare and I couldn't believe my eyes when I found it on a Belgian eBay seller's page. It had a "buy now" price and cost very very little. I don't remember exactly how much but 15-18 dollars or something. The cassette is awesome (box art is printed on the case like those old German porn tapes!). Unfortunately, the print is very dark, fullscreen, and it's cut! But rare as hell. I'm also aware there is a French VHS and a VCD from Malaysia (which Günter Müller once reviewed, you can read his review in the Indonesian thread on Dvdmaniacs).

Btw, the Global guy also owned the über rare BIG BOSS PART 2 (starring Lo Lieh) which nobody else has (be aware there are other films that use the title as an aka title but they're different films!). There is a trailer on YouTube that's all. Unfortunately, I've just learnt that he's sold it to a cinema i Zambia!! Boo-hoo!! That trailer looks totally entertaining. :(

BIG BOSS PART 2 trailer:

Jack J,

do you know what was cut from the German VHS tape of "Satan's Bed/Ranjang setan"?

Is the crappy Malay VCD (the Happy Valley/Lokasari Sdn. Bhd. one) complete? Those are the two I have, but I never found the time to compare them...

In the last months i have got a lot of new indo movies. A special thanks goes to daniel and toto from indonesia, who have provided me some rarities. Thanks again guys.
I appreciate it much.
Also a big thanks goes to some sellers from the usa, who give me some dvd-r's from very rare movies.
The collection is growing and now i'm over 200 indo movies.

Therefore i have decided to make a big update very soon.

I will made a list from all my indonesian movies ,one kind of filmography with original title( if available english, german or french title), director, year, genre and the versions which i have ( vcd, vhs, dvd or dvd-r).

These are some new ones
