I've been looking for an original Aussie tape of "Spirits of the Air Gremlins of the Clouds" for years now, is there any chance to get this in Australia?

Geeze ,what a name!?? I have collected for over 14 years and never heard or seen this on shelves here= are you sure it was released here in Australia.

Wow, that's amazing. I know this movie is very unknown though (despite the fact that everybody who saw it speaks very much in favour of it).

Yes this was released in Australia. Actually, Australia is the one and only country in the world where this movie was released. It is an Australian film.
It was the first feature film of Alex Proyas, who went on to make films like "The Crow", "Dark City", "I, Robot" etc. in Hollywood.

The film itself is a post-apocalyptic science-fiction movie in the vein of "Mad Max", but more on the philosophical side instead of being an all-out action film.

There is an Australian VHS for that film, and I would love to find it. I now managed to obtain a DVD-R of the film made off the Aussie VHS, but as I know me I won't be able to sleep calm until I find the original :P

Here's the IMDb link:

Thank you! It would be fantastic if you could find it. Unfortunately I can't even help you with the name of the label that released the film. I never found a picture of the original VHS on the net, and my DVD-R also starts with the film itself and doesn't show any VHS label.
But there definitely must be a VHS as it's often mentioned by various people who saw the film.

There is a picture of a soundtrack CD for the film, which also displays the only artwork I've ever seen for it:

I guess the VHS tape had a similar, if not the same, motive for its sleeve.
