Hi all! It's been awhile since I posted here, (I read more than I write) because I've been busy with a couple of friends releasing custom projects. What we do is that we get our hands on the best possible source for some rare films and release them UNCUT (if possible) and try to get the original audio tracks and add subs. Sometimes we even hire a translator to get the job done. Our latest projects are perhaps the most ambitious to date. We are going to release CANTON VIPER and we were lucky enough to get an interview (especially filmed for us and exclusive) with HWANG JANG-LEE, the man himself talking about acting and directing the film. On top of that, since we love cinema and we're in for the fans more than for the money, we put all our efforts on the movies of course, but also on the packaging (just like any "legit" company would). Here's some examples of our DVDs: ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.houndslowteam.tk/ If everything is going well, we are planing to do subbed customs of RARE Korean horror films as well. That will all depend on the response to the idea. Prices go between 15$ and 30$ depending on the project and initial investments. I think this would be a great chance to see some rare Asian classics finally subbed and remastered. Our restoration work: http://youtu.be/S8ymzp2O-KA?hd=1 |

just some questions ..... I can imagen that most of the movies will have the orriginal audio ..... some asian language ..... or with a bit of luck perhaps also english audio option. -their are alott of movie fans that dont speak english so well. how much extra would it cost to add (for example) german subs? if its not to expensive, I think with a small extra like this, you will reach/satisfy more fans ...... so besides english subs .... add german and french subs. -and would you save money by releasing doubles ..... so 2 movies on 1 disk? saw more companies doing this ...... -perhaps you can contact some other small fan based labels, to talk about mutual promoting ..... that they mention your disks on their website,or put a trailer on their dvd ..... and ofcours you do the same ??? dont know just thinking out loud..... I love what you are doing!! absolute fantastic!! hope to come there one day as well, to release a own project |

Thanks for the interest in our projects Shootgringoshoot! - just some questions ..... I can imagen that most of the movies will have the orriginal audio ..... some asian language ..... or with a bit of luck perhaps also english audio option. We always try to get the original audio track that's for sure. The second "most important one is to get the English track if there is any, for the rest if we happen to have a track in another language we try to include it. For example, we are releasing the amazing Bruce & Jackie to the Rescue, that DVD will have 4 different dubs. Mandarin, English, French and Spanish because we happened to have all those prints. However, subs are English only. -their are alott of movie fans that dont speak english so well. how much extra would it cost to add (for example) german subs? The thing is that we also need someone who can speak German to do that, as it's important to have the subs to be sync with the audio. We currently don't have anyone on our team with German proficiency. -and would you save money by releasing doubles ..... so 2 movies on 1 disk? saw more companies doing this ...... 2 movies on 1 disc is indeed a good idea but quality-wise it is not, as the films will look a bit compressed. ??? dont know just thinking out loud..... We really appreciate comments!!! We want more

Hi Tanzi! Are the properly pressed discs or DVD-R's? I wish but no, they are DVD-R as we don't have the finances to cover that up. For some of our releases like Canton Viper already cost us over 800$ to make: getting the ultra rare Korean tape / paying the translator / paid for the Hwang Jang-Lee interview, etc... How do you buy, I couldn't work it out, wanted to also find out the shipping costs to England? The site is mostly a "blog/forum" so there is no buy now like a shop, but you can send us an email with the titles you want. Shipping is always 5$ for 1 DVD and all additional DVDs are 3$ each. DVDs come with plastic case and cover (just like the ones above in the first post) our email is: houndslowteam@gmail.com |

Hi Shootgringoshoot, We tried to locate companies and original film prints for this but they pretty much vanished or are very well hidden somewhere. So for now we work with what we can get our hands on. In my case I always try to remaster the picture scene-by-scene to get the best out of the print. The sleeves are printed with professional color copier and are designed by me. There is no el cheapo photocopies of VHS tapes covers here. A guy in Germany releasing DVDs from 16mm material that is really cool! That guy must have a really interesting collection of 16mm films or might have access to that quite easily. Otherwise I don't know how he can make money? |
