Hi guys, This just got in - I think it's one of the oldest (aka first) tape players ever. Look at this beaty. And the format of tapes! Got a whole box full of em. Any thoughts? Is this the first player ever? Is it rare? Is it worth something? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

that is a vcr or svr player. not the first home player. their is an english site ( http://audiovisualmuseum.blogspot.ch/2011/...gra-vpr-5.html) that reviews all old home video systems. believe the first players were vinyl records that played images (not video discs). found one of these players yeras ago in basel .... new for 30euro .... but I never bothered buying the machine. one of the big problemms of the svr and vcr system was that the tapes snapp very fast. specially of the svr tapes. their is a guy on marktplaats that si looking for these tapes with tv recordings ..... maybe he wants to buy the tapes from you ...... but I think 250 is a bit high reached ... here is one for 50euro .... no bids http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/audio-tv-en-fo...ntalRichSnippet and here is one that got a bid of 25euro http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/audio-tv-en-fo...previousPage=lr |

Better late than never: Someone told me this was a system derived from the N1500 line but with a slight change to the cassettes so they wouldn't be interchangeable - although that example there says "VCR" as well. I once found a set of tapes and gave them away for free because I couldn't play them. (I wonder if these may not be the same...) |
