OK, so first of all welcome to the site. As you'll have gathered this is a support board and everyone is welcome whether you're looking for support, want to give support or just interested. Due to the nature of this place we have to set a few ground rules so that everyone will be protected as much as possible and so that we (the moderating team) and all the members know what is and isn't acceptable on here. The basic things we would like everyone to take notice of are: * No personal attacks This means anything we regard as an 'attack' on any particular person, or group of people ~ for ANY REASON, that includes, religion, sexuality, colour of socks ANYTHING. This Also includes not forcing your views on other people, accept that everyone has a right to their own opinion and this is a support board, bitchyness or arguments wont be tolerated. If anyone witnesses something like this or feels they have personally been "attacked" then please contact the moderating team right away through PM * Trigger warnings Please remember to use the appropriate Trigger warnings for yor posts ~ to see a list of our tigger banners and what they mean click HERE * No Flaming This means that we don't want to see anyone posting repeatedly about issues that are irrelevent to the topic, personal arguments, any form of snide remarks or random one word answers that are obviously purely only aimed at increasing your post count....it's inapropriate and uncalled for so just leave it out. * No Numbers/Graphic Details this is in place to protect every single member. we don't allow people to post things such as: ~ Number of cuts ~ ED related weights ~ Numbers of Pills taken/OD's attempted anything along that line ~ if you do this by accident a mod will usually edit it. If you do this repeatedly you'll be warned and so on. For details of what is not allowed/will be edited see HERE * Avatars, do not use anything triggering, nothing in anyway glorifying SI, EDs, Suicide, SA. Please do not use avatars that have weapons, knives, razorblades, blood, scars of any kind in them or they will be deleted. * Suicide Notes We do not allow them to see why read this thread HERE * Personal Details A lot of this is common sense but there's no harm in reminding you all, please, please, please don't tell people online or post: ~ Your full name (first and second names are fine, last name keep private) ~ Your email address (you are more than welcome to e-mail each other safely through the TTB e-mail system) ~ Home or work address ( it only takes one troubled person to get this info on you and wham bam thank you ma'am you have a stalker!) ~ Phone numbers (this includes mobile/cell number, house numbers, work numbers it might seem like a good idea but be careful) ~ Financial info (this is pretty obvious but there are a lot of people who can make pretty convincing scare tactics up to get this info from you, always check them out properly before handing out any info.) For all of these points we can only ask you to use common sense. If you wish to pass on any of this info privately then that is your choice but please, please, please be careful. We can't be responsible for any information you decide to give out. * Becareful of others people are not always who they say they are. People can lie online, it's all too easy to be sucked in by someone who tells us what we want to hear so please, please if you plan on getting close to anyone online make sure you take all the precautions you can. If they are genuine they will understand and be doing the same with you. * PM's The Pm system on TTB is for all the members to privately message each other if they want to. This does NOT mean that you are obliged to reply to anyone. If you receive any kind of unwanted PM's please report them to one of the moderating team. * If any one should break the rules they will receive a warning via PM from the mod team, If anyone then continues to break the rules they will be dealt with accordingly * * in exceptional cases we may ban some one straight away if we consider their actions totally inappropriate * If you should see or encounter ANYTHING that you think we should know about PLEASE report it to one of either the admin or moderators.
