My son-in-law killed a bear!

I hope this doesn't offend anyone but my son-in-law, Daniel, killed a bear Tuesday. It weighed in at 535 lbs and was 8 feet long (or tall, whatever). It's the biggest one ever checked in here in our county.

He thinks he's Davy Crockett now!! :lol

I'm just wondering...what does someone do with the bear after they kill it? Do people eat bear or do they just take it to a taxidermist?

Why would anyone want to kill any animal...unless they needed food badly or it was attacking them or others? That, I could at least understand. But I cannot fathom how anyone gets joy out of killing another creature.
Sorry, I probably should have ignored this thread - I tried to. But I, like Jen, completely abhor hunting. My apologies for being a downer in your thread.
