Q. Hello, I’m new to the forums. What should I do first?
A. Your first order of business as a new member to the forums is to carefully read over the forum rules. Once you have read and understood these please head on over the Introductions forum and introduce yourself to everyone. With that done take a look around the forum, post a few replies to people’s discussion and perhaps start some new discussion yourself.

Q. Do I have to post in the Introductions forum?
No, you don’t have to post in the Introductions forum. However, we strongly suggest you do. We here at the CC forums are all very friendly and enjoy a great relationship between forum members. If you don’t introduce yourself other member won’t know who you are, where you came from and what you’re about and thus won’t be able to converse with you as readily as they can with a member they know well. So take a few moments to say hello and tell us a little about yourself.

Q. I tried to join the forums a while ago but my submission hasn't been validated yet. Why is this taking so long? Don't you like me?
A. Of course we like you, unless of course you are spam. But then, if you were spam you wouldn't be reading this. All membership requests to the forums have to be validated manually. We do this to try and stop spam and problem posters from joining the forums and spoiling it for everyone else. Due to life and general goings on that the CC Team have outside of the site it can sometimes take up to a week for your membership request to be processed. So, give us at least a week to process your submission. If it is taking longer than that and you are sick of waiting please fire us off an e-mail via the Contact page letting us know of the problem and we'll fix it up for you.

Q. Something on the forum has changed. How do I find out what it is that has changed and also stay up to date with any future changes?
A. Occasionally we do change things on the forums. This can be something simple such as adding new emoticons or something big like re-ordering the forum around. By visiting the Forum Up-Dates thread you will be able to find a complete list of changes made to the forums complete with explanations of what these changes mean. Any new up-dates or changes to the forums will be posted in this thread so if you see a New Post marker beside the threat topic it means we’ve changed something so be sure to have a look.

Q. How do I subscribe to the Up-Dates/ Forum Up-Dates and other threads so that I don’t miss anything posted in them?
A. Go to the thread you wish to subscribe to and scroll down to the bottom of the page. On the right you will see the text "Subscribe to this forum", click on that and you're done.

Q. A thread has disappeared from the New Adventures forum. Where did it go?
A. Issue threads are left in the New Adventures forum for up to a month after their release. After a month the issues are moved to the Old Stories sub-forum of their respective publishers’ forum. For example, Moonstone #1 will stay in the New Adventures forum for a month. Then, after a month when #2 is released #1 is moved to the Old Stories sub-forum of the Moonstone forum. The reason for doing this is so that discussion threads are easy to find and post in.

Q. My avatar looks funny? How can I fix that?
A. Avatars have to be a certain size (90x90) to show properly so make sure your avatar meets these requirements.

Q. Such-and-such a member is bothering me. What should I do?
A. If you are being bothered by a member the first thing to do is contact the Admin via a PM. Let them know what is going on and they will take matters further.

Q. What are the little "Warn" boxes under my avatar?
A. At the bottom of your Name plate (where your user name and/or Avatar appear) in each post you will notice the word Warn with a percentage next to it. This warning level is to warn members how close they are to being banned. Once the percentage reaches 100% the member will be band. Your warning level will increase if you cause any sort of trouble on the forums, and the level goes up by 20% increments each warning, which gives you 5 chances. Also, you will be given a public warning in the offending post.

Q. I keep seeing "LCS" mentioned on the forums. What is an "LCS"?
A. "LCS" stands for Local Comic Store. It's an abbreviation we geeky types use so we don't have to type lots.

Q. I have a suggestion I think will help improve the site/ forums. Where should I make this suggestion?
A. You can suggest ways to improve the forums or site by posting your suggestion HERE or e-mailing your suggestion to us.
