No, I've never tried to use RSS with eBay. Honestly, I didn't know one could. I have e-mails sent to me once a week on subjects of interest, but this RSS thing idea sounds very cool. |

I didn't know about this. Thanks for the info Benno. I was using your program (probably not as much as I could) but I will probably start using RSS Feed as well as I have a gadget which shows all my current feeds on my desktop without having to open anything. It will make searching for stuff easier. And thanks also for the brackets info, I had no idea that putting something in brackets would allow you to search for two things at once. Maybe you could post something here about making searching easier, what all the tricks and shortcuts are, .

Ebay list all of their search operators here. Many of these techniques work with google and other computer based search. Google has a lot more options though. |

So, have you come up with any interesting search queries? I tried to set up one would search for Frew issues in their hundreds. ie: +(phantom, frew) 8* I thought this query would pick up all listed Frews in the 800 series. However it didn't work. * is a wildcard and in theory should match 8 followed by anything. but for the wild card to work. It needs to be preceeded by at least two characters. So: +(phantom, frew) 80* works and will find 800 thriugh to 809 +(phantom, frew) 81* will find 810 thriugh to 819 So to set up a filter for the whole 800 series we need to do something like this: +(phantom, frew) +(80*,81*,82*,83*,84*,85*,86*,87*,88*,89*) |
