Stealing the idea from another forum :P I thought it might be fun to have a thread in which members and discuss stuff that is going on with them, even if it's only cleaning the fridge. ^_^

Well I'm creating my first 3D character using Autodesk 3D Studio Max. It's already modeled and at the moment I'm in the middle of putting bones in it. Then I may add a scene and some props. Then it's onto textures, lighting and rendering.

I am currently recovering from one of the biggest drinking sessions ever. We were commiserating our narrow 2-1 defeat in our hockey Grand Final on Saturday. I managed to get home for the first time in a day and a bit yesterday at 8pm. Now I am trying to figure out where I left my car and how I am going to go and get it.

Update: Car has been found. I left it at my parents place. Pretty smart when you think about it.

Just finished writing my third novel, Cult of the Damned, which will be released early next year, and have started work on my fourth, Cry of the Werewolf. I'm also working on a few short story projects, and overseeing work on The Wraith feature film script, being written by a couple of hot new writers. The first 36 pages have been delivered to me, and it's a very superior product. This project has me very excited indeed :D

Third novel? What are the first two, I might have to track those down.

As for the Wraith film, is this the direct to DVD one you mentioned a while back or is it going to be a full-on cinema experiance?

At the moment I am in the middle of preparing a submission to the QLD Attorney General's Department's review of the legislation that covers neighbourhood disputes, they are still leaning towards mediation rather than conciliation which is a legal agreement that would be legally enforceable with more of a chance of the 'bad' neighbour being financially penalised if they break the agreement, which is a better idea than what is in place here in QLD at the moment, the only avenues for you to take now is either mediation (in which 9 times out of 10 you end up having to agree to something that doesn't improve the situation or you take the neighbour to court under the Peace and Good Behavior Act which is also not much of a solution because as the Plaintiff, you are up for the incurred expenses and if the 'bad' neighbour re-offends you have to go through the whole process again.

I am currently studying to become a social worker, which I enjoy very much.
I am also working on a few writing projects myself... Mostly short stories in an attempt to earn a few bucks, but I am also considering starting work on a novel (I have several ideas I feel could become pretty good books). My goal is to be able to make a living as a writer one day, one way or another.

Other than that, enjoying life as best I can, although there's been some tough times in the last year, due to deaths and serious illness in my family. I had a really dark period a few months ago, but luckily, things are getting better and better now.

I had to move to be able to go to university for studying, but it's fortunately not farther away than me being able to get back home in the weekends. My bunch of friends have sadly been pretty much split up at the moment, due to all of us either going different places to study or having to join the military, but I'm going to visit one of them this weekend.

Also constantly looking for "that special girl", but I haven't found her yet. :( ;)

Frank, it would be cool to hear more about that Wraith film-project. I hope it gets off the ground.

Also, good luck with your submission, Bill.

Thanks Paul, I just hope that the submission that I make helps put things back to some form of sensibility, a few months ago my wife phoned the police with yet another complaint about the feral family that have given us problems for the last ten years, and guess what happened? We had the police officer on our doorstep (before he went to see the problem neighbours) yelling at us, all because I had the hide and temerity to complain about the time it took (2 hours) for the police to attend life threatening situations on three occasions in the ten years that we've lived here, move to the country they say, I've had more stress in the first 12 months of living here than in 5 years working as a Security Officer. :D
Anyway, best of luck with your chosen career, I'm certain that you will do well. :)

I hope things will turn for the better for you now, Bill. Be sure to tell us if the submission was successfull.

Also, thanks for the encouraging words. I feel I made the right decision choosing a career path, but I guess I will be absolutely sure about that when I finish university in three years. :) ;)

Nicely done Pugg. I was considering getthing that book, is it from Udon? I picked up SF Remix yesterday but haven't had a chance to read it yet. It's great to see we have so many creative types on the forums, maybe we should start a seperate area where we can post our stuff and give each other feedback?

Bill, I have great respect for anyone who deals with laws and government types. I just can not understand that stuff, and it's not from lack of trying. Good luck with your submission.

Paul, good luck with your studies and writing. I know how hard both can be, but social working is a brilliant thing. I dont know how people can do it!

Thanks man. Yeah it's Udon all right. I'd definitaly recommend this book to any Street Fighter fan or anyone interested in modern art. There are so many variances in style and technique. It's absolutely incredible. I was supposed to do some work today but all I've done is look through the book again and again and again. It's even open in front of me now as I type this. I found about five people from Australia in it. Myself included and the very talented Jeff Chamba Cruz from Melbourne. I found only one from New Zealand though. Most of them are from various asain nations and North America.

I don't recall hearing anything about the book before it's release. Did they put a call out for submissions anywhere becasue I'd have sent something in. Strange that I missed it if they did.

I'm looking at the ad for it in the back of Remix now. It's awesome to see Bryan Lee O'Malley in there, I love his work. At $39.99US though it might have to be a Christmas present though. I bought the Street Fighter: Eternal Challange book that has all the art work from the games in it though, that is amazing as well.

Thanks for the encouragement :) I probably wouldn't be doing this except that the way the law in this country seems to be applied e.g. if you have a mental problem or if you come from a dysfunctional family than your rights must have more of a priority than anyone else's, makes me feel that the way that I brought my kids up pointless, and that is something that I can't take lying down, one neighbour that we had here had a mental problem but it wasn't as bad as she made out, every time she was before the local court she would end up on a good behavior bond which she was cunning enough to abide by for the duration, but as soon as the bond expired she would be back to her old ways threatening people and assaulting people, she stated on many an occasion "that she could commit murder and get away with it", something that most rational people know better, she thumped the Policeman who is stationed here twice that I know of and just got a warning both times because she either put on the tears and stated that her three children need her or that her mental illness should prevent her from being fined or given a custodial sentence.
The only reason that she sold up and moved on was because the clown that she hooked up with tried to attack another neighbour with a knife in a drug fueled rage after she had primed him up, I suspect that the cop in charge of this area must have told her that she was on her own and that he wasn't prepared to make allowances for her behavour anymore because she was in and out of court for about 5 - 6 years before this incident.
one day I'll start a topic on who knows of the worst neighbours, if I look at what I've had to contend with objectively, it is quite amusing, something like 'married with children' or 'my name is Earl'.
