I am "kidnapping" Paul Andreas' post from another thread, to give this thread a start (hope that's ok PA!)
I think the cover (by Germano Ferri) is really beautiful, and would love to see it reprinted in Scandinavia aswell. I hope the publishers are familiar enough with the Italian market to know what type of covers work best. All in all, I am hoping for a success for this series. The Italian fans deserve a new Phantom series with new stories, and the Team Fantomen classics deserve to be read by new readers. |

I like the cover too, but I would personally probably have chosen a more dramatic cover for a first issue... But hey, that's just me, and not every cover needs to have the Phantom fighting someone. I wonder what Team Fantomen stories we can expect to be used. They should print the five part story that followed the Year One arc, one of the best adventures of recent years IMO. |

So are there going to be more of these? I'm just wondering if we should start listing them on the site with their own page? |

This is a new monthly series. I believe that six issues will be released to begin with, and sales will determine if the series will continue after that. |

I assume you are talking about the main site?? I would probably set up an others section and then if they take of and become a regular publication you could give them their own page. |

The cover seems to be partially inspired by the cover that Mario Caria draw for Fantomen 20/1997. The inspired part is how the Phantom stands. |

Still think they could choose more spectacular covers. There are a lot more exciting Egmont covers than the ones they've used. |

I think the thing the covers will have in common is not original or Team Fantomen covers, but covers by Italian artists. Some will be old, some will be created exclusively - but my guess is that they will be by Italian artists. (OK, maybe a bit early to guess after only two issues, but I think I see a pattern... )

^Good point. There are still several covers by Felmang/Ferri more interesting than the ones they've picked, though, but I guess they have to fit the story inside the book somewhat too. |

As you are discussing The Phantoms return to Italy............ Been trying for hours to figure this out. So, if I've got it right, you might be interested in some covers from my collection of Italian reprint volumes. If I've got it wrong you can have a good laugh at my feeble attempt to use technology. |

Hmmmm. Well, that didn't go too well. What did I do wrong? I clicked for thumbnails and that's what I got. I'll keep trying, unless you're fed up, that is? |
