With the 2009 Meet Up being such a success we've already started to discuss next years' Meet Up in the Team CC sanctum. As planning the Meet Up around SupaNova worked so well this year we thought we'd do the same again next. However, we thought that we'd give you guys the choice of which city the Meet Up would be held around. So, please vote in the above poll. You can vote for more than one city so please vote for any and all cities you'd be happy to attend. |

You should all come to Oslo or something. ![]() It's great you guys are getting together. I hope your precence at the comic convention contributed to spreading the word about the Phantom even further. |

Glenn was saying that at next year's con there is going to be a big Phantom presence. He didn't say how exactly, but he did hint at a few things... |

Maybe Jim has seen "the light" and decided to promote the book a bit? Maybe SyFy will "propose" to Australian fans with their TV-show? Maybe the "Legacy" team will show up? Start the speculation here! |

Melbourne would be easier for me. I'd like to go to Supanova. I've never been to a convention before and I miss out every time one is on. |

Just nudging this to keep it on everyone's mind. Don't forget to vote for where you want the next meet up to be held. If this year's was anything to go by, next years will be even better. |

I'm planning on going to the Melbourne Supanova next year so that's the best chance I'll have of making it to a meet up. |

Melbourne. I'll have to plan that way ahead of time then. Still, voting is not done yet. |

Greetings - What about a casual Sydney catch up ? Maybe grab a beer and talk Phantom ? Would be great to meet face to face some keen Phantom fans. |

Depends what you mean by "casual." We built the meet up around the con this year because many of us where going anyway, or wanted to go to both. Also, it give us a fixed time and place. If it's too casual it's hard for people who don't live in Sydney to make it. We had some folks from quite far a field come to the last one. However, please feel free to explain your ideas in more detail. There is no reason we can't have a "Sydney CC Chapter" who meets regularly. |

This is my 2nd shot at this. I tried to add a reply in the library this afternoon and made a right mess of it, Anyway, any chance of any of you being in Edinburgh or Glasgow, or even in Scotland? Cos I can't get to Australia. For that matter, any of you going to the FACTS con. in Ghent? Might not be a lot of Phantom stuff but you never know. How many countries are represented on the forum? Is it just where The Phantom is published, or am I an exception? Just curious. Forgive my nosiness. |

Any country, province, planet, galaxy, universe or plane of existence in which there are Phantom phans is represented on this site. However, it is hard to organise a meeting in which all of those people can get to the one place, but to many being international. The reason we had the first meet Up in Australia is because most of us come from Australia here and, as it was the first time ANY of us had done anything like this, we thought it best to go with what we know. Now that was a success we'll probably go further afeild, but international meet ups still pose a big problem. Having said that if any international phans wanted to have a meet up in their own country I'd be more than happy to publicise it on the site. It's simply the logistics of getting from one country to another that makes it hard. |

The last meet up was set up this way. We met outside the convention at a set time (I think it was 1) and those who didn't want to go to the convention could meet us there. We then proceeded down the road a bit to get a feed and then sit and chat (I think there was some who weren't going to go to the convention but in the end everyone ended up inside and we all ended up at the same booth continuing the casual chatting). Wherever we have the next one, I think the plan will be basically be the same (looks like Melbourne or Sydney going on the votes so far). |

I'm thinking for the Sydney siders just a simple beer or two. I have led a fairly solitary Phantom existence and would really just love to talk about the Phantom..compare early numbers. Of course my previous post I did not realise how far away some of us are. I live in Coogee Sydney. Anyone close ? |
