Interesting that Australia are publishing an Egmont story before Egmont. Officially it will be published the 3rd September, though some of the subscribers might get it as early as the 28th August.

This happened a lot a few years ago. The Scandinavians who subscribe to Frew are probably the kind of die hard fan who will buy Fantomen/Fantomet anyway, so I doubt it hurts anybody, while it is a little strange.

I enjoyed the first half of the story, the second half just seemed to drag on. I cannot say I am overly enthused about a second part appearing - not too bad. I would have been happy for a couple of frames with the Phantom simply having succeeded in freeing the nurses and all is well in the jungle again.

The most interesting part of the story was the appearance of Tom-Tom. :) Great to see him back! However, where has he been? And why is the GWW depicted as ignorant of his last few years? Was not Tom-Tom treated by the GWW as a son like Rex King?

I agree completely.

It is indeed really great to see Tom-Tom back.

Enjoyed this and am looking forward to the second part.

However, something that confused me; why would the coast guard be less likely to storm the ship if the hostages weren't there? I'd have thought if there where no hostages then the guard would storm in to take out the baddies???

I thought the captain and crew were still aboard the ship.

I tremendously enjoyed this story. I never tire off "The Phantom sneaks around and scares the crap out of bad guys" stories. It's always more fun with psychological warfare against criminals rather than him just punching them out.

Part 2, however, was pretty redunant, and nowhere near as enjoyable as the first, though Felmang's art was very good.
