The story is full of intersting encounters, and but for the abrupt ending I would probably have voted it top marks, nevertheless - very good it is!

My favourite part of the story is The Phantom - dressed in Arab garb - duping the headhunters by defeating their armed champion barehanded and then retaining his weapon (axe) for any future battle, and then the poor headhunters saying that is not fair! :)

What I found interesting in Jim's editorial comments was that he talked about The Imposter being the most wanted story to be reprinted on Phantom websites. Now I gather he is talking about Australian based websites since this is Frew's main audience. This it must come down to the now defunct deep woods, the phantom phorum. and the CC. But I have not seen a discussion about the need to reprint The Imposter.

Has anybody seen anywhere where The Imposter has been requested??

I've never heard anyone here request for any reprints. I think Frew listen more to people who send letters to the printed Phantom Forum. There are probably other internet sites too. Facebook, yahoo groups etc.
