I have just received my advance copy of The Phantom #1552, which features part 1 of 2 of "Hooded Justice". The cover image was taken from page 33, panel 3. I regret I wasn't able to provide more "cover worthy" images on the inside pages of this issue, as I did in the past. This was one of those stories where "iconic" images of The Phantom were really few and far between. I appreciated the nice comments written by Publisher Jim Shepherd in his editorial message. (Thank you, Jim!) However, I'd like to take this opportunity to straighten up a few biographical details written in the editorial as follows: I was born in Taranto, which is located in the Apulia (not Sicily) region of Italy. I also grew up -and completed my academic studies- in Italy (not in the United States) before moving to the U.S. I hope the readers enjoy this issue as well as the following one, which will conclude, for a while, our expedition in the legendary world of Robin Hood. The original art of "Hooded Justice" part 1 is available for sale. For more details, please, visit my Art for Sale page. |

Thanks for that info, Sal, it's always good to have one's facts straight. I've not picked up the issue yet but I can't wait to see more of your gorgeous work! |

The art is great! Clean, detailed and realistic. Good stuff! Didn't mind the story either. Always liked the stories of Robin Hood. |

Yeah, Sal has that whole "economy of line" thing down pat. I love that in art. |

A great start to this two parter If it was an entirely original storyline I would have given it top marks, nevertheless Very Good! The Phantom was well worked into the story with an almost threadless seam. The connection between Robin Hood and The Phantom's hood/mask was a brilliant piece of work! I am for once looking forward to the second part. |

This a a great issue. I admit I'm not really that well versed on the history/ law of Robin Hood, but I still enjoyed the story immensely. can't wait for part two. This also made me wonder, are there any other Phantom stories that involve actual time travel? I can't think of any... |

There are some "ambigous" Team Fantomen stories where the 21st travels in time. Two where he travels to ancient Rome (not published by Frew) and two where he travels to the days of King Arthur and Merlin (I think the last one, Merlin's Eye, has been published by Frew). |

I did a quick search in my DB for Merlin's Eye but didn't find anything. Do you know what issue number this might have been? |

I recall the issue but not the story. Might have to re-read it. |

First I'd like to apologize for starting a new thread for this issue, but I could not find this thread. I am trying to figure out how it happened. The only thing that I've found was that when I searched for "Hooded Justice, Part One", the only hit is "# Frew 1553 - Hooded Justice, Part Two", created by me because I could not find the topic and hence did not exist when I searched then. "Hooded Justice, Part Two" does still not give a single hit! When I went to the issue of Hooded Justice, Part Two and clicked at the link to discussions, I came to nothing, I probably never tried Part One, then. Sorry. I can boldly confess that computers are not really my subject, so ignorance from my side might be a contributing factor. Concerning the story itself, I have no real problem with the art, but with contradictions from earlier Team Fantomen stories
