I just got back from Game Crazy...

I went to Game Crazy today to see if I could find Pokemon Yellow because I somehow managed to lose my copy. :( I literally tore my room apart- moving the couch, rug, TV, bed and all my video games and I still couldn't find it. When I got to Game Crazy, I headed over to the Game Boy section to see if they had it, and low and behold, amidst the rows of black and gray cartridges was a single yellow one, and when I flipped it over, it was Donky Kong Land. :@
So I digged through the rest to see if there was anything worth buying- but there wasn't. All they had was at least 7 copies of Disney's Tarzan, random sports games, some Tony Hawk games and about 40 copies of some lame Yu-Gi-Oh game.
Same with the SNES games- all loser Disney/sports games.
The only N64 game worth getting was Super Man 64, which was priced at a whopping $10. The rest were wrestling games. Actually, they did have Diddy Kong Racing, but I decided not to get it.
Okay, so my point is that there's no good store around me that sells a decent amount of good old skool games. :'( Game Stop stopped taking N64/SNES games and well, Game Crazy's selection sucks.

So instead I picked up four games: Metroid Prime, Viewtiful Joe, Star Fox Command and Game & Watch Gallery 4.
It only cost about $40- Star Fox was $20 used, Metroid Prime and G&W were both $5 and Viewtiful Joe was $8.
I will be browsing eBay in the mean time for Pokemon Yellow. <_<

I think they want you to buy them on the Wii, despite there only being 3 N64 games and 10 SNES games available there. Wait a few years they'll show up.

Either that or emulate them. Your choice.

Oh, and don't diss DKL plz.

Edit: Nevermind, I misunderstood your post. But I don't think the low amount of old skool games at Game Crazy has anything to do with the virtual console...

I wasn't dissing DKL, I was mad that it wasn't Pokemon Yellow.

But I just got Pokemon Yellow off of eBay, so I'm happy. :)

There's a store near me that specializes in used and old systems. They don't even sell new games. They've probably got tons of Pokemon Yellow. I was actually thinking about going there to buy a new Pokemon Red, because the internal battery went dead in my old copy.

Also, you can get DKR on Amazon.com for like, 7 bucks. I got a ROM though, so it's all good. I had a bunch of good N64 games, but I "cheated" this girl out of 10 bucks in the 6th grade, because I sold her a game, then she came back and said, "I meant Sonic Adventure 2", when she originally asked for Sonic Advance 2. I didn't refund her money because she shouldn't of been stupid and said what she meant. Dad went ape-**** on me and told me that the games corrupted me, and sold my PlayStation, N64, and Game Boy with all their games. I begged him to let me keep my GameCube, and he let me. He gave me the credit he sold it for. It was $70. He sold it to Gamestop like an idiot. 500 dollars worth of games and equipment, and he sold it for 70. I've been trying to get my collection back ever since.

I wish we had a store like that. :(

Yeah, I think they were selling DKR for like $15 or $20, and even though it's an awesome game, that's pretty expensive.

Wow, that sucks. :( I don't think my dad would ever do that though because he always plays video games with me like Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash, Mario Party 3, and Need For Speed. Heck, I even got him to play Star Fox Assault.

That's why I hate selling games/systems at Game Stop/Crazy. You can make much more money from eBay.

My Dad plays them with me, too. It's just he thinks the welfare of his son is more important than having fun with his son through video games. We used to play Super Smash Bros., Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Party 3, Bomberman Hero even played Paper Mario for a minute, then he realized he hates RPGs. I'm currently getting my collection back, but I still have plenty of games to go.

My dad tried playing Halo 2 last night....

The other team standbyed (cheated) against us and he lost the fake interest he had in the game.

Other than that, he hasn't played games with me in a long while. We used to play the original Mario Brothers, Tetris, and Donkey Kong together way back when.

I hooked up a NES in his room not too long ago.. and he was playing Mario on it one day. I walked in his room while he was playing and he had the biggest grin on his face. Five minutes later he was frustrated and told me to "Get this damn thing out of my room!" hahaha

the next day he wanted to play again.... <3 my dad

Anyhow.... Pokemon Yellow... is... ehh Blue FTW!

I hated starting with Pikachu.... when the first boss thinger is ROCK

Ah, Pokemon Yellow is the best.
Not only do you get Pikachu, but you can get Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander without trading with other game packs.

To fight Brock, I catch a Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree and train it for A LONG time. Then it's really easy to beat him.
