Nyko Technologies revealed today their new trio of game accessories for the Nintendo Wii, all of which were on display for exclusive hands-on demonstrations. Joining the previously announced Charge Station Quad, Nyko has added the Wand, Charge Station EX and Kama Charge Kit to their lineup of '09 Wii gear. The Wand The Nyko Wand has been touted as the most advanced alternative to the Wii Remote, outperforming the unit in everything from functionality to value. As well as incorporating the standard control functions of existing Wii controllers such as full motion-sensing capability, vibration feedback and built-in speaker, the Wand brings a number of new features to the table. Headlining the list is the all-new Trans-Port technology, which enables control and vibration feedback to be electrically replicated on a compatible attachment accessory, while the Wii Remote can only access controls mechanically and with no vibration feedback. So for example, a pistol grip could be connected to the Wand and electrically replicate action buttons, providing controls not possible with Wii Remote attachments. Charge Station EX The latest edition of the best-selling Charge Station accessory for the Wii, the EX is a 2-port Wii Remote charging station, just like its older brother. However, the new model adds LED battery level indictors to the front of the device, giving gamers a visual reference to know both when their controller is charging as well as the progress of the charge. A simple upgrade, but a helpful one nonetheless. Kama Charge Kit Billed by Nyko as the all-in-one-charging solution for the Wii, the Kama Charge Kit can charge both the Wii Remote and Kama controllers simultaneously in one convenient location. A Kama Wireless Controller comes packaged with the Charge Kit, along with a rechargeable battery pack and rubberized battery cover (For both the Wii Remote and Kama controllers) to make for effortless charging. All three products are scheduled for a April 2009 release date, and pricing has thus far only been released for the Charge Station EX, which will retail for $34.99. Great, even more accessories for the wii that will only have 3-4 uses! They really need to concentrate on making more games, before making more useless accessories |

Bumpity bump bump much? ...I'll hijack this then. Anyone else have MotionPlus yet? I know it's not Nyko, but w/e. I got it today, and it's awesome, but confusing as FUCK. Anyone else think so? And I wouldn't have a need for any of those Nyko things anyway lol. |

It's pretty good fun. Some of the events are awesome (Swordplay, Wakeboarding), while some kinda suck (Archery, Canoeing), and some are pretty much in between (Power Cruising, Frisbee). Considering it comes with a MotionPlus free of charge, I'd say it's worth the money. |
